Well Michigan already has several young corner backs on the team. If he was a stand out then yes it could have hurt. Michigan has recruited several d-backs the past two years so his transfer won't be significant.

Other than Brown, you had four other CBs in the 2011 class (4* Countess, 3* Carter, 3* Hollowell, and 3* Taylor). Your 2010 class had three CBs (4* Christian, 3* Avery, and 3* Talbott). Your 2009 class had two CBs (5* Turner and, get this, 4* Denard Robinson :slappy:).

Neither of your two CBs of the 2009 are at corner (Turner transfer, Shoelaces at QB). Your "young" CBs are now comprised of four kids not even on campus, and three kids who, other than Avery, have not seen much playing time.

Brown's loss may not be that significant, but until you get a CB who really steps up consistently, you need all the potential help you can get there.

It's no longer if not going to OSU, go to Michigan. Michigan has to know compete with Michigan St., Nebraska, Notre Dame, as well as more SEC coming into Ohio.

No doubt but at least Hoke is going to focus on the midwest. He knows he has to focus on the Midwest, Michigan, and Ohio kids first.

Our last coach felt the opposite. It seemed he focused on Florida and the South more than he did in his backyard.

Assuming you're correct about Hoke, I have to agree with you. You can't ignore talent hotbeds like Florida, but you gotta make your gravy with the guys in your region.

Right you are Mike, T. J. Floyd and Woolfolk are both going to anchor the corners.
CB will be a position of strength on this defense next year.
Now the DL and LB and S positions we are going to need some bodies to get stronger because we are not very fast or strong.
Maybe we can find some of that there moxy to supplement their workouts.

we'll also have an experienced and healthy Woolfolk back next year to help out the younger guys

If the younger guys need help with referring to themselves in the 3rd person and other advanced techniques in douchebagery then yes, powerful teacher is Twolf.

He's also really, really good at getting his ass kicked by Ohio State and most other teams in the Big 10. Best of luck to him teaching the lack of fundamentals and confidence necessary to pass that along.
