Took me a while to find Sully. Looks cut.

I'm not saying Ross won't play a lot, but he does have turnover issues - I think it's safe to say he will have more turnovers than assists as a freshman. He is a bit like ET, talented but mistake-prone at this stage.

It will be interesting to see how J.D. Weatherspoon (6'7"/215 Soph.) plays this season. He has an "unlimited upside" and could be the the "6th man/ hustle guy" too.

I started buying season tickets when Eldon Miller was coach. There are half a dozen candidates for 6th man on this team who could have been the "go to" guy on many of the teams between then and now.

What a predicament.

I was also a kid when Jerry Lucas was playing, but I would admit that these are the golden years of OSU basketball.

Sullinger looks to be in great shape! Can't wait for this season, I'm actually friends with Shannon and it's funny to hear his input on the team. So much upside and a great schedule to see how our Bucks have come together as a team.

Do you know Shannon's true height/weight? And also, do you know what number he'll be sporting in the scarlet & gray?

I actually saw Shannon the other day at Walmart. Honestly, he did not appear different from a regular college kid - he isn't particularly tall, certainly not an "all airport" type guy. I might not have realized it was him if it weren't for the real tall guys following him (one was Sam Thompson, who is rail thin, the other I'm not sure if it was McDonald or Ross but it was one of those two). I would say 6'1" is a fair estimate of Shannon's height.

Shannon probably looked kinda short beside those trees. Standing beside a couple 6'7"-6'9" guys, he probably looked like a lil' guy. He's been listed on sites and articles in the last few months as 6'3" but we all know that mean much. It's funny that they're hanging out at Walmart.

According to his HS coach Shannon was measured at 6'2 without shoes and 181 when he got to Columbus, and now is reported to be up to 189. 6'2 without shoes is a very good height for a pg Kyrie Irving, Brandon Knight, and Nolan smith were all measured at 6'1.5-6'1.75 without shoes and Irving was the heaviest at 191.

#3 is a pretty good educated guess

Shannon also has much longer arms than Kyrie. I would love if he wore #3 because he reminds me of CP3.

With Scott's skill set, If he's a legit 6'3"/190, this kid could turn out being a great. Luckily, if Craft takes up a decent amount of PT at the point, this kid might stick around for a couple seasons. I know that they will be on the court together sometimes, I'm just saying......

If LaQuinton Ross commits to playing hard D, I see mucho minutes for him this season.

Q's battle for PT w/ Sam Thompson will be interesting. I have no doubt that they could both have an impact this season, but with Buford, Sibert, and even Thomas playing some wing this season, and the fact that we will be playing a bit more with 2 "PG's" this season and also w/ 2 'bigs' at a time, I just don't think there will be enough minutes for Q & Thompson to split, so 1 of the 2 needs to emerge as the man.

Best off season competition for sure. Just going off of Matta's past, Thompson might have the edge going in because of his defense but Q will impress with his lenghth and shooting.

Another factor, having Deshaun Thomas and Ross on the floor at the same time could be tough for us on defense. With that said, I'm not as down on Ross' D as most people seem to be. I havn't seen him in a true game to be able to judge that, I've only watched highlights of him raining 3's and dunking.

I think why people are down on some guys' defense is partly based on who they're replacing. Lighty was very active defensively, his combination of strength, energy & effort aren't common. Thomas and Ross will be fine guarding mid majors and the weaker Big Ten teams, but I'm not sure how they match up against good sized wings with great quickness and ballhandling ability. They will do a good job of guarding bigger/slower guys, but it's the quicker ones that I'm concerned about.
