2011-2012 Men's Buckeye Basketball (Final Four Season)

It will all come down to whether or not those guys can buy in to Matta's philosophy on no-foul defense. Move your feet and stay in front of your man. If guys get lazy on that side of the floor and foul more, they probably won't see as much time on the floor.

It has been proven time and again - if you want to see the floor under Matta, you have to play defense and do so without fouling excessively.

I believe the 6'6"/220 for Buford. He's added weight his whole career but the roster weight has stayed the same for the most part.

Deshaun at 6'7"/225 should be in better shape than last year when he was listed at 6'6"/230, but was probably closer to 240lbs.

I love the way Lenzelle Smith Jr. has transformed his body from 6'3"/230 last year to 6'4"/205 now. If he's quicker like I assume he'll be since he's in better shape, he might be able get some PT with those long arms of his. He could be a solid defender, if he can get that outside jumper down he has a chance.

I was also surprised at Q being listed at 6'7" and 230lbs. From everything I've seen and heard, he's really closer to 6'9" than 6'7". I also didn't realize that he was 230lbs, that's really good size for a perimeter player. LaQuinton is a really shy guy and I think that he's embarrassed because people are calling him a 6'9" SG. As long as he goes out and plays good ball, I don't care if they list him as 6'2"

Some of the players were at the State Fair today signing autographs. My son got a poster signed by everyone there. He's 11, so he doesn't know all the players by sight (first thing he tells me is I got Cheese's autograph..lol), so we're trying to figure out who all signed. We've figured out all of them except one. The name appears to start with an E, but after that can't really tell anything after that. He did put a #20 after it...any ideas? Thanks!:osu:

GameDay Locations

I never watch ESPN anymore (outside of OSU and soccer games), so could care less about the show, but it would be funny if ESPN is even afraid to step foot on Ohio State's campus for basketball.

2012 Site Schedule
Jan. 14: North Carolina at Florida State
Jan. 21: Louisville at Pittsburgh
Jan. 28: Washington at Arizona
Feb. 4: Kansas at Missouri
Feb. 11: Kentucky at Vanderbilt
Feb. 18: Ohio State at Michigan
Feb. 25: Syracuse at Connecticut
Mar. 3: North Carolina at Duke or Texas at Kansas
The 2007 appearance with Greg Oden's class is still the only appearance in Columbus. A night game (8 or 9 p.m. start) has to coincide with the visit.

Regardless, at least Jay Bilas can make a tangible, perhaps even objective, thought that doesn't have a basis filled with buzzwords such as "Speed, Athleticism, Plays in Space, or South" and doesn't go out of his way to bash Duke to show his objectivity.
