2010 TSUN News (in-season)

Exactly. Somehow UM slid back into the top 25 in the coaches poll. GMAFB--their best win is either against a team that just got housed by Navy or a team that just got shutout (!) by Louisville.

Penn State really doesn't have a better win.

The fact that it's at PSU tips the scales in favor of PSU slightly but it's pretty much a toss up in my book. The thing about playing Michigan is that you have to be willing to air it out still, even with a freshmen qb, and that freshmen qb has to execute even if it's against a bad D. Penn State SHOULD win this game at home, but I wouldn't go so far as to count out the idea of the PSU coaching staff screwing this one up. Michigan should be a little fresher coming off the bye week after all.

I don't care what anyone says, any team that can beat ND and their backup QB as well as IU by a total of 11 points in the same year deserves to be ranked.

Now sure, you can point to the fact that 1-AA UMass they beat by 5 points (at home) just lost its second game in a row back down in 1-AA land and that Saturday's 26 point drubbing was pretty severe but I'm here to tell you those crazy bastards from New Hampshire can do that to anyone on the right day. Then again haters gonna hate so I'm sure the anti RR contingent is going to find a way to spin that as a negative no matter what.

Bottom line is the 50 current scUM students/recent grads that hold internships at various SID offices across the land all decided to vote scUM back in the top 25 and everyone just needs to learn to respect it.

good lord. it's amazing what a bye week can do to public perception.

my guess is the perception is their two losses have been to undefeated MSU and a still really good Iowa team. They've beat the teams they are suppose to and have lost to two really good teams. Now if they go out and lose to Purdue and Illinois, then yeah, the perception was wrong.

this should still be an 8 win team, even with the shitty defense.

Illinois has lost to Mizzou, OSU, and MSU...how is Illinois a cupcake in the same category as Purdue? All 3 games were very respectable.

Don't bother.

They get this way during off seasons and bye weeks. They'll actually have to play a game again soon enough, then reality will set back in.

FWIW I'm with you, there is a very clear 3 team lowest class of the B10. Illinois is not in it, scUM is.
