2010 TSUN News (in-season)

Buckeyeskickbuttocks;1848037; said:
Sounds that way. Add that with this from the usually plugged in mgoblog:

Both Adam Rittenberg of ESPN via Chris Mortensen and perpetual bearer of hate news Michael Rosenberg are reporting that if Harbaugh does not take an NFL job he will not leave Stanford:
Brandon's seemingly obvious move with Michigan football -- to fire coach Rich Rodriguez and hire Stanford coach Jim Harbaugh -- appears to be off the board. Colleague Chris Mortensen reports that Harbaugh is more likely to remain at Stanford or take an NFL job than return to his alma mater.
Because of course he is. Rosenberg is even more direct:
Jim Harbaugh is highly unlikely to accept the Michigan football coaching job if it becomes available, a person with direct knowledge of Harbaugh's thinking told the Free Press.
Harbaugh plans to decide this week whether he wants to take a job in the NFL. If he stays in college coaching, he has decided he will stay at Stanford, where he has built a potential powerhouse. It would take an extreme change of heart for Harbaugh to end up in Ann Arbor, according to the person, who did not want to be identified because Rich Rodriguez is still U-M's coach.
Hopefully that's as accurate as the rest of his reporting about the Michigan program but with a second confirming source it looks grim. Somehow Michigan has managed to screw this up, too. If the athletic department had a two-inch putt lined up they would whack it into a communications satellite. Seriously, what the hell, Harbaugh?

..equals a lot of smoke. Not saying it's certain, nor that Harbaugh is definitely not going to aa, but it looks pretty grim for scUM. Look at the big picture: Harbaugh the prodigal son has that job lined up on a silver platter. If he's already in the bag like many were hoping, he would be on a flight to aa right now. Brandon knows his fanbase/boosters/alumni want/need a quick answer. The first domino has fallen, but it appears there are a number of other suitors with deeper pockets. Plus, he has a good thing going at Stanford who should be able to match/beat scUM's pocket book. Would he uproot his family to walk into a situation requiring a total rebuild for less money with through the roof expectations? The NFL, reportedly, is willing to offer him up to $2M per more than scUM. He's already a God in Palo Alto. scUM looks like a Toyota Tercel in a lot of Porsches right now.

oh well........I hate the niners, so it's a shame he went there. I'd a rather he stayed at Stanford. I'll reserve the bashing for the rest of the Michigan fans, because i'm sure they'll have a field day with this. I can already see the thread topics of "he isn't that good," "he's bound to fail," "he's not a michigan man," and "never wanted him anyway."

no idea who ends up roaming the sidelines. But I have a feeling whoever it is won't have Denard there either.

Denard is a follower. He'll follow Hoke. Or, whoever else shows up in AA.

Just checked all the tsun boards. Now that they whiffed on their pipe dream, they are all wishing they would have kept RR. Pure comedy.

Son of a bitch....

He should never step on the campus of The University of Michigan again. He chose the NFL over helping out Michigan, what brought him up, in our time of need.

Dissed his alma mater again. First time, shame on him. Second time, shame on us.
Dissed? How about he got a much better deal from SF, moron.

Not me, Harbaugh was somewhere like 8th on my list. To me, it is Patterson and everyone else.
Seven other coaches, eh? Riiiiiight....
