2010 TSUN News (in-season)

I would just like to mention that until this past Saturday State Penn had not scored a TD in a road game all year. Yes, it's a home game for them, but they suck. Hard. Professional grade sucking. Even Michigan's pitiful defense should hold them to no more than 30 points, and that won't be enough to win.

Do the math, fella. To get to 8 wins, they've got to win more than 2 from here on out.

i think we can beat Illinois, Purdue, and Penn State. I never said any of them were cupcakes. People putting words in my mouth I guess. Of the five games remaining, those three give us the best chances to win 8 games.

don't see much hope in beating Wisconsin or osu.

where did i say they were a cupcake? of the games left, those two will be the ones we're favored in for sure. thus the games we should win.

If you are only favored by a point vs. PSU, what makes you think you will be favored vs. Illinois? As a reminder, Illinois beat PSU in Happy Valley by 3 TD's. If I'm a tsun fan (other than wanting to shoot myself :) ), I'm expecting Illinois to ugly me for a 3rd year in a row.

Yes, Illinois has a solid team every other or 3rd year. This year they look solid to me. Don't believe M*ch*g*n can score at will against them. I'd assume Illinois would be the favorite in that game, home or away...

If Illinois keep playing as they have been and you lose at PSU, don't be surprised to see Illinois favored in your game...

Hold your index finger and thumb apart about half an inch. That's how much better your team is than Indiana.

There is no such thing as a "should win" game when your team is only a shade better than IU and has only managed 4 B10 wins in 2 1/2 seasons.

FWIW I'm with you, there is a very clear 3 team lowest class of the B10. Illinois is not in it, scUM is.

I'm not sure if Michigan is "clearly" in the lowest class of the Big Ten in all fairness.

The Big 4 in the conference are clearly Iowa, tOSU, Wisconsin and Sparty.

When I look at Indiana, Purdue and Minnesota. These 3 teams don't really have a facet of their game to challenge the better half of the teams in the Big Ten. That makes them clearly in the bottom 3.

Michigan, because of their offense can muster enough of a game to play up to better teams but their D is so bad that it allows the worst teams in the league to play with them. Basically they can be anything from the 5th best to the 8th or 9th best team on any particular day that they play imo, they just aren't consistent enough for you to really know what to expect from them.

And scUM has clearly distanced itself from this pack how?

Single digit escapes from IU 2 years in a row? Back to back losses to Purdue?

I'll give you that they are probably the class of the bottom dwellers but that is still their neighborhood until proven otherwise.
