Game Thread 2010 Rose Bowl: Ohio State 26 Oregon 17 (Final, 1/01/2010)

tOSU football team is arriving today at Hyatt Regency (Century City Plaza) today.

Is there a schedule of other pre Rose Bowl events, like

- Disneyland Tour (Dec 26?)

- pep rally at Universal Studios

- Lawry's Beef Bowl dinner

- Press Day at Beverly Hilton

What about OSU alumni events, all over Los Angeles?

Back in 2008 Rose Bowl (where U. of Illinois went to Rose Bowl), all the above was publicly available on UIUC Athletic Dept website. Can't seem to find anything similar for tOSU in 2010 Rose Bowl.

Tailgate party prior to ROse Bowl game is pretty awesome. You can get some good ticket deals at halftime roaming around the parking lot. I got a good seat (near 50yd line) for $20, when Texas played Michigan a few yrs back. (2005 Rose Bowl)

BTW, go OSU!!!

I haven't seen a complete schedule, but here are some of the events.

The Buckeyes will be at DisneyLand on Saturday:

A list of press conferences can be found here (page 11):

The band is playing at bandfest on Wednesday:

The kickoff luncheon is on Thursday:

The alumni association is having Buckeye Bash at the Beach, a free pep rally, on Thursday:

I flipped on ESPNU the other day, and lo and behold USC's game against Oregon came on. Now, when I turned it on it was 34-20 Oregon with around 7 minutes left in the 3rd quarter and USC had the ball. USC was able to consistently gain yardage on the ground, I mean Bradford ripped off like a 15 yard run IIRC and they were just pounding it right down Oregon's throats. Then, for some reason, they abandoned the run game and had Barkley throwing the ball and it killed the drive.

This gives me a ton of confidence for what we can do on the ground against Oregon.. I already had confidence after seeing what we did against Penn St. when they stacked 8 in the box too, but this makes me feel even better.

Disneyland Update

My sister n law and her family are at Disneyland right now and said that they saw a bunch of Ohio State players and Oregon players. They aren't Ohio State fans, but my niece said that the Ohio State players were, by far, more friendlier than the Oregon players and so she is officially rooting for the Bucks in the Rose Bowl.

They got to talk to #30 - Donnie Evege and said that he was really nice.

Way to represent The Ohio State University boys!!
