While it looked like they could run it down our throats, they didn't and no team just ran the ball against Ore. The teams we had trouble against were teams that had good throwing QB's with good running games. The exception being the Civil War game against Ore St. Ore St QB was throwing at a 70% completion rate and they had a good running back. But as the Ducks did all season they outlasted their opponents. They are in unbelievable shape as they play a fast up tempo style football. Don't look at the TOP stats because the Ducks score fast, which means the D is on the filed a lot. But they have been doing this for several years so they are used to it. TP doesn't look like a threat to throw the ball against us so I think Ore will play the run as they have done all year. Our D plays against a running QB in practice so they will be ready for Pryor. The only team to run the ball down Oregons throat all day was Standford and their QB was having his best game of the year. Plus their running back was a Heisman candidate and is a monster of a running back. But in the end the final score was 44-20 with Oregon beating USC.Sportsbuck28;1625885; said:I flipped on ESPNU the other day, and lo and behold USC's game against Oregon came on. Now, when I turned it on it was 34-20 Oregon with around 7 minutes left in the 3rd quarter and USC had the ball. USC was able to consistently gain yardage on the ground, I mean Bradford ripped off like a 15 yard run IIRC and they were just pounding it right down Oregon's throats. Then, for some reason, they abandoned the run game and had Barkley throwing the ball and it killed the drive.
This gives me a ton of confidence for what we can do on the ground against Oregon.. I already had confidence after seeing what we did against Penn St. when they stacked 8 in the box too, but this makes me feel even better.

In 06 all we had to do was show up. Unfortunately we didn't.The last time a BCS bowl with Ohio State in it had a team think that all they had to do was show up ended with that team getting their asses handed to them.

Uh, many here are objective when it comes to Ohio State.KingLeon;1626557; said:I'm not objective when it comes to Ohio State, my bad...fml.
No one is.
At least his post didn't have elementary-school retorts. While his post was pretty homerish (imagine that, coming from an UO fan), there were no comments like "You ain't shit", "We're gonna blow you out", "Slohio", "Suckeyes", etc.KingLeon;1626557; said:And I chose to be even less objective than normal due to the fact that the other guy is clueless. His post was nice and objective for ya.
