Centenary wins! 73-60. No court storming ... there were only about 300 people there.

But they do avoid being the first 0-30 team in history.

Wow. Western Illinois may want to drop the sport after this loss.

#7 BYU (26-2) @ #6 San Diego State (27-1) on CBS right now

Glad to see this one because I haven't seen much of either team and I'm feeling the early stages of March Madness.

BYU up early, 15-8

SDSU is 0-2 versus BYU, 27-0 against everyone else.

BYU is a good squad but I must question SDSU's credibility as the Cougars never trailed today, winning 80-67.

No doubt the chances to watch BYU and SDSU are few and far between - their first matchup was on seldom-watched CSTV - so I had to watch this one. I was more disappointed by SDSU than impressed with BYU. BYU was unconscious from the 3-point line, but their shooters (other than Fredette) were left wide open a lot. On the flipside, SDSU grabbed a lot of offensive rebounds but showed absolutely no poise when they got those rebounds - they put up a lot of rushed, challenged shots in the paint. SDSU is not a very good 3-point shooting team, so that is another that will hurt their chances of making a run in the NCAA tourney. SDSU is a team that struggles in the halfcourt offense because their players are by and large not especially skilled - they rely on their athleticism and strength to make plays. This was a must-win for SDSU - biggest game of the regular season, at home, with the conference championship on the line, against a team you need to exact revenge against - and they failed to even keep it close late in the second half with BYU having a couple guys in foul trouble. BYU played well, but SDSU did not rise to the level of their competition.

Just like last year. They get up near the top of the rankings, then tank to end the season...

That is why I never have Texas advancing far in my bracket... Rick Barnes has to be one of the worst in game coaches in the country. All of that talent and only one final four apperance.

I guess Tim hasn't noticed the SEC isn't dominating college basketball. What a dumbass. :roll2:

Just saw this, but ever since 2002 I've fucking hated Tim Brando. His dumbass picked Miami Fl. to beat us in football by like 40 points. How'd that end for you Tim?

Eat a dick.

Texas blows 15 point lead to lose to Colorado.

ESPN analysts have said (and Hubert Davis said today) Texas is the best team in the country. Therefore, you must be lying.

Seriously, Texas has issues and I'm surprised at how some of the pundits gloss over their problems on offense. Their main PG doesn't shoot often and never shoots 3s, so opposing Ds can sag off him ... there are teams out there that will take strategic advantage of that and pack in the paint. The Horns went 8 and 1/2 minutes without a field goal against Colorado to blow a 22-point lead. They shoot 64% from the FT line for the season, so today's 20-34 effort (58%) is not that far off of their average.

If the media hired people based on their sports knowledge, every member on this site would have a job at CBS before Tim Brando. Just sayin'. He's there for his voice and his hair, and that's about it.

Granted having to listen to Dukie V during an OSU/Duke game would be excruciating, but Sully might score 50 against Duke in the paint.

Dookie V won't be working the NCAA tournament.

Oh please, oh please...
