2009 TSUN News (football only discussion)

UM fans are grasping at straws when they question TP and his ability to throw.

Hell, every kid they bring onto that team immediately gets compared to TP.

"Tate's already a better passer than Pryor."

"Robinson is faster than Pryor."

The fact is that UM is really in bad shape right now. Very bad shape. Even if the offense comes around (in two more years) they won't be able to stop anyone on defense. Go back and look at that chart that jwins (or someone) put up breaking down the O vs. D recruiting. Are you kidding me?

Like I said before: RR is doing damage to that team that will take years to undo. His system does not (or should not) appeal to anyone (outside of RBs) that have NFL aspirations. He's ignoring the defensive side of the ball. Every time you turn around another player is leaving.

Other than those few things everything is great in AA.

If Tate is a better passer than Pryor, here's the numbers I'll expect him to better in 2009:

CMP...ATT...YRDS.....PCT...YPA...LNG...TD...INT....Sack...Rate
100...165...1311.....60.7..7.95...56...12....4......21...146.50

I've bolded the stats I figure Tate will have the most trouble bettering.

watching the stream of the spring game (can't wait to see the tater) but it seems like they have the bottom half of the bowl relatively full, 25 to 40 thousand maybe? regardless I how many they have, even if it is 40k, dick rod failed to beat Ohio State yet again, even if it is freezing and raining (knock on wood) we will get more than 40k for our spring game

- No-huddle offense
- safety with a kill shot on Forcier and doesn't break down
- fullback breaks a 20 yard gain on a pass reception
- horrible tackling abounds
- Foricer runs it in on a terribly played rollout

yeah, the Michigan defense looks slow as dirt, no wonder they think Forcier is better than Pryor, god help them when they face a dual threat quarterback [if my memory serves me correctly, I think we have a pretty good one]

Yeah because of the contract. He will be there for the 2010 and probably 2011 season. After that who knows.

At what point does the entire fan base turn against him? It was already getting ugly last year at the big house.
