Also, why are we talking so much about quarterback recruiting at OSU? let's talk some more about how well they are doing recruiting linebackers and defensive lineman at Michigan.

Anyway. As I'm sure you've read, UM will be going to a more of a 3 man front, so the lack of depth should be lessened. Obviously, it's still a concern. Linebackers... I'd love to see UM get some pure LBs, not the hybrid type. But, RR and the gang prefer the faster hybrids. Brandon Smith appears to be moving to OLB in his future. He's a little too slow for safety. I'd like see UM grab an LB or two, but there are a few guys in the '09 class that could potentially become LBs. We'll see how it pans out.

I'm glad that douche is in AA...[censored] I wish our Athletic Department/Boosters would pay WVU off. I love RR...I hope he stays a long time. It's obvious he used to coaching JV. Yes, the BE is JV compared to the B10.

What cracks me up about this guy is he really hasn't done [censored] in coaching and they make him out to be a god. IMO he sucks as a coach. He didn't do [censored] at WVU until BC, Miami, and VT left...it also took one of the greatest QB's to ever play CFB to even get him 10 wins in a season...he is 4-3 against Pitt...If he thinks that is a rivalry he don't know [censored]. It takes alot more than putting OSU stickers on tackling dummies to get the rivalry. He doesn't care about defense...he thinks he can win the B10 without it.

We had our Cooper and now you have yours...BIG [censored]ING MISTAKE HIRING SOMEONE OUT OF THE FAMILY. The best part is when he loses his job after 2010 the guy you hire will have an empty cupboard on defense and will have to recruit pro-style offensive players...my money is they hire Harbaugh or Miles...hopefully miles...I never seen someone do less with more.

I love his recruiting tactics. I hope he gets verbals from 2-3 offensive players this weekend. I hope he takes 2-3 QB's this year. I hope he takes another 3-4 WR's and RB's. It is obvious that Michigan is gonna suck on defense. The lack of depth is undeniable...freakin walk-ons(multiple)could make up your 2-deep defense.

Michigan fans get wet over hearing about Tate. I read his little interview where he says the speed hasn't been that much faster...maybe at Michigan kid but you better get ready for a real game. Not every defender is gonna whiff tackles like sucksomuch.

Me I'm a RR believer myself...I believe he is gonna hurt Michigan for a longtime. Hopefully his hiring hurts Michigans program up for 10+ years...the guy had such an ego that instead of slowly changing the offense he scared all of Carrs players away and gambled...he lost big time. If he had ran a semi-pro style offense with Mallett last year you guys would have won 8 games. Now your in a situation where you will probably not make a bowl 2 years straight and lose to your 3 biggest rivals back to back years.

What Michigan fans don't realize is Tressel has given the blue-print on beating Michigan...keep the top Ohio kids. Better hope Shiano doesn't replace JoePa because he will bring PSU back and will lock out Michigan in PA. When Dantonio was hired at MSU I smiled because I knew he would be a thorn in Michigans ass. What if Urban Meyer takes over ND after this season When Jabba gets fired...IMO he leaves Florida after Tebow Graduates. Thats alot of Big Dogs to recruit against...looks like you'll definately have to look south for MAC level talent.

What I love is we are dominating you, ND will beat you this year, and now MSU can actually say they have a rivalry with you again. Your three biggest rivals could beat you 2 consequetive seasons...has that ever happened before? Watch out Michigan.

Miles was the guy I wanted and he might be at Michigan some time in the future. So if RR is fired you hope that Miles is hired as the coach? That is really weird coming from a buckeye considering Miles is one of the best coaches in the country and can win big time games.

I wouldn't say the BE is JV compared to the Big Ten. The Big Ten hasn't had a winning bowl record as a conference since 2002 while the Big East has performed well in bowl games.The Big Ten hasn't won a Rose bowl since the 99 season.

Is the big ten better than the big east?......it probably is, but I wouldn't say it's that much better.

If you think the BE is better or even close to the B10 in talent you are crazy...absolutely nuts. PSU and OSU were alot better than Cincy or WVU. Iowa and MSU were solid teams for the B10 last year. Heck NW almost beat Mizzou...c'mon man quit smokin crack. Since Miami, VT, and BC that conference is about on the same level with the Mountain West.

In the "little bowls", the big east plays buffalo, memphis, and nc state (losing record). The b10 plays FSU, Kansas & Missouri.

2nd place in the big ten earns you a date with Texas, USC or a good SEC team... generally 10+ win squads.
2nd place in the big east earns you a date with a second tier ACC opponent.

Hows your coach gonna run a 3-4???? He is such a douchebag. He has 6 lb'ers on the roster...at leats thats what CoachBT and Maizeman are saying. 6 linebackers...hmmmmm theres not even enough lb'ers for a 2-deep in a 3-4. If you think 205-210 hybrid linebackers are good enough against teams like PSU and Wisconsin you are smokin crack. I can only imagine what those squirts are gonna be doing after 3 quarters of Royster and Clay running the ball down their throats. Heck if our OL is better this year you will get a dose of Herron and co. It is not the BE!!! Hell your DC couldn't even hardly win a game in the BE...GOOD LUCK

Let's try and keep the conversation civil. If you think RR is hopelessly misguided, that's fine, but save the derision for the program, not the quality posters who are here to talk football. zwem has been a quality contributor here that has avoided the temptation to flame. If zwem makes a poor argument in your opinion, then by all means, rip that apart. But he doesn't deserve to get the same vitriol as a poster whose tone is the problem, not their stance.
