I'm sure that 16 on his ACT will help him in his kinesiology studies... Football wise, he is quite small for a DT. Probably will end up moving to DE, which wont help UM's problem in the middle of the D-line at all.

Ash is a lot like Talbott, probably going to play the same position as Ryan Van Bergen does right now. He's a definite red-shirt and a project type kid, but his upside/ceiling is very high.

The NT spot is still a pretty big need IMO but it is one that could be addressed in 2011 if push came to shove as I think Mike Martin is a 4-year player (while he is a good college player, I just don't think he'll ever go high in any NFL draft) and Will Campbell progressed pretty nicely as the year went on and Renaldo Sagesse is also there for depth for at least this season.

Michigan isn't giving up recruiting the NT position in this class by any means though. They still want to take a big guy in the middle and they are still going hard after Jatashun Beachum of Texas and the local kid Jonathan Hankins, and there are also rumblings that Mike Thorton out of Georgia might be taking an OV to Michigan in the coming weeks.

I'm not sure he's a nose tackle. But then again, Mike Martin was better suited for the 4-3 also.

Beachum is about 270-280 pounds right now in high school. He's a definite red-shirt regardless of what position he ends up at along the d-line, but it's not out of the question that he'd be in the neighborhood of 300+ pounds after 2 years in a college level S&C program. I think at 300+ pounds he'd have enough size to man the middle.

My personal preference would be to take both Beachum and Hankins, and hopefully the coaches get that done.

College Football Recruiting On the Trail 2010 - ESPN

Tony Jefferson and Kenny Stills both to Oklahome

Like the options on a phone tree

Press 1 for "too lazy"
Press 2 for "scared of competition"
Press 3 for "no big loss"
Press 4 for "RR knows what he's doing"
Press 5 for "we'll be good in year x when RR has his system in place"
If you are a M*ch*gan fan who's actually interested in seeing them win again hang up now and call back when they have a real coach.

Donovan Warren to NFL | mgoblog

Warren staying would have been HUGE but I think we are still going to see an improvement in the secondary...

Justin Turner is a 5 star guy and will be in his second season.

JT Floyd will be a rs soph and hopefully can improve enough to be serviceable. If Cissoko can make it back, that would give us two third-year players to shore up that second position, plus a few good rookies to compete for playing time.

The D will be fine..
The losses of Warren and Graham will hurt, but there should be enough improvement across the board to sustain the momentum gained by a strong performance against OSU. GERG needs to stay so that we aren't looking at four DC's in four years.
If that happens, they should be a pleasant surprise.

You just can't make this shit up.

Lose the two best players from the worst defense in the B10 and defense will be fine in 2010 because they kept a rivalry game to an 11 point spread.

Are they ever capable of just admitting they suck and this (whatever this may be at the time) doesn't help any? Ever? Just one of them?

All I ever have to do is click a link and read for 30 seconds and my hatred burns as hot as it ever has. I FUCKING HATE scUM FANS!!

There's a couple out there who recognize what a mess they've gotten themselves into, but not many. They're quickly squashed though and accused of not being "all in for m*ch*g*n"...whatever the fuck that actually means...

...and no, you cannot make this shit up...

I wish him nothing but luck :)

I will miss him since he was good, but I like the recruits we have coming in.
Yeah, I'm sure they'll all turn out better than former ***** Donovon Warren. Hello scUM fans, you're coaching staff cannot develop talent. What the hell makes them think this group will be any different? Last year, they're all drooling all over Warren and Bootycar, now they're both gone, but...wait for it...they'll be better. Comical.
