2009 TSUN News (football only discussion)

Well, just thought I'd stop in to see how everyone's doing. I see you got everything under control here. We don't want any UM fans getting too excited. (sarcasm font - still having a tough time finding that).

Well, anyway. I guess I'd like to throw my two cents in the ring. Nothing drastic here. I think both offenses will be able to score-a-plenty this saturday. It'll come down to whichever defense makes the most plays. Can UM actually hold on to the ball this year, and forgo spotting ND 21 pts in the first 5 minutes of the game? I was pleasantly surprised by UMs defense against WMU. I figured UM would be able to put up some pts, but not holding WMU to 7. If UM is able to control the clock with the running game, I think they'll be able to squeek by ND. Last year, Threet had a good game against a bad ND defense, and UM was able to run the ball all over ND. ND's defense should be better, but by how much??? We'll see. I say UM 45, ND 35.

According to GBW after S Mike Wiliams went down they had to play a walk-on S Kovakas. Then they had nobody to replace BOOBOO when Floyd was burning him like a coach roach under a magnifying glass.

Michigan is back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I get the same with Forcier as I did with Manningham. I'd feel very lucky if Tate Forcier doesn't burn us in at least one version of the game by the time his career is done. I don't think it'll be this season though. Our D's tough.
