I agree, I don't know why it's so hard for osu fans to say Tate is a more polished passer. I have no problem saying that if TP becomes a polished passer, osu if going to be amazing the next 2-3 years, and will tough as hell to beat.

Maybe because he's never thrown a ball in a college game? He may have some nice form/mechanics on the practice field and throwing over the heads of HS linemen, but in terms of actually doing something at this level, he is not worthy of the "polished" label at this point.

We were tough as hell to beat last year without TP being "polished".

I hate to state the obvious, but osu doesn't have the same team as they did last year. The biggest part of why osu was so hard to beat last year was because of their defense. Sure, you scored some points, but osu's defense won a few games for them last year. How many games did TP go without a TD, 3 or 4??? (serious question)

42 points--OSU's offense won The Game last year.

And unlike scUM, we recruit defense heavily every year, so don't expect a real dropoff in '09.

Okay, I'm just saying, you can't use 2008s success on defense for an argument for 2009, when they don't have the same players. Sure, they've had great defenses, but you've got to be stupid to think the defense will be as good or better than the defense from 2008, with as many weapons that osu lost.

Oh, and congrats on the win in '08, I'm sure you're real proud. I know I would be too if I was an osu fan. I know my bro-in-law is just raving about that win.

Can we use UM's defense sucking in '08 and most likely being even worse in '09 as an argument?

You can try to make the argument that UMs '09 defense will suck, but that's already been covered a hundred times over by you guys. You can talk about the guys that are returning. How they played in '08, how will they progress? How will Greg Robinson change the defense for the better? All kinds of stuff.... but I guess it's easier for you to say, "UM will suck."

To say this defense can't be as good as 2008 shows a real lack of familiarity with the tradition of defensive reloading under Tressel. Besides maybe the replacement for Jenkins, every position on this D has quality competition at virtually the same level as last season, and I can only hope that you're not the only scUMmer to underestimate them.

You would be a cubs fan too. It's just fitting, that's all.

The difference between a Cubs fan and being a Michigan fan comes down to rationality. Being a cubs fan, I know we suck. I like the Cubs and always have. You fucking Michigan fans still think you're good and try to rationalize your losses, your lack of athletes, and the hick ass hillbilly and pass your program off as excellence. Good luck with that.

That's fine... I don't go around and follow osu as close as you guys probably follow UM. I'll find out how good their defense will be when the season gets underway.

I'm wrong???

It was three games, thanks for answering the question. Wisconsin, Purdue, Penn St.

Passing touchdown? Or rushing touchdown. I'm pretty sure they still count for the same amount of points.
