he became a LB in 2006.blueinfla;1456064; said:Well, IMO, Mouton is a big loss. I think he'll end up being a major contributor in '09. He had a pretty decent season in '08, but he was adjusting to the move to LB, so that takes some time.

Martin's a good young DT, he'd definately be in our 2 deep. He's one of a handful of players from that D I'd take.brutus2002;1456104; said:I guess I will chime in. I am gonna be brutally honest. If Mouton, Warren, Martin, and Van Bergen were missed that bad you guys are in serious trouble...heres why.
Warren IMO would start opposite Chekwa
Mouton would be a special teamer.
Marting might be our 2-deep
Van Bergen might be our 7th best DE...I'm saying this with a straight face.
So all these world beaters were not there eh...If you want to see some LB'ers and DB's that can tackle watch our spring game tommorow. TP would put 150+ yards rushing on your 1st team defense. If Coner can run 50 yards before a DB catches him just imagine what Pryor would do...next.

Pryor was thrust into the starting role some six weeks after setting foot on campus. People just don't realize how impressive what he did last year was...

Regardless of whether you compare the efficiency numbers from this year or last year, and I'm metaphysically certain that Pryor will have superior statistics.
At this point, or at least as freshmen, I have no problem saying Forcier is the more polished passer. I know he hasn't played a real down yet, but mechanically he's sound whereas Pryor is still a work in progress. His numbers may not lead the big ten in efficiency as Pryor's did, but TP operated under a very limited playbook that hid his weaknesses pretty well. TP still needs polish and to work on his mechanics. Forcier is solid there. As for upside, there's not even a comparison...TheIronColonel;1456198; said:I was actually basing my post on the common chest-thumping argument that's going around: Forcier is a more polished passer than Pryor. If that's true, his efficiency numbers should be better than Pryor's - and I'm willing to bet that that won't be the case.

I honestly think the sCUM dumpsters have good runningbacks and even a good defensive secondary but that O line makes ours look like an NFL line and then there is the 500 pound gorilla in the room that is actually only a buck 60, Tate Foreskin. I'd be surprised if he stayed healthy through a full season of flag football, let alone in a gimmic offense that isn't playing in the Big East.
To all the scUM dumpster fans out there, I'd like to go ahead and warn you: I heard the same [censored] last year from you guys. While it's cool to read a little bit of what you say about this year (eh probably not actually), the bottom line is that in the end of the day, you're still Meatchicken. Oh no, not the Meatchicken you used to be, the Meatchicken that has lost to Toledo and Appalachian State at home. There really isn't much to get excited about. I mean seriously, it's not good news when the only thing you guys can brag about is how weird your strength coach sounds and how a 17 year old kid just hitting puberty is the savior of your offense.
But hey, dem helmets o yos godem sem wangs.
