We need to get rid of this f, not only is he loosing to teams like Toledo, and Illinois, but he lost Terrill Pryor to Ohio State! If he is susposed to be this great coach then why is that the only recruit he brought with him. I think that Ann Arbor's Pioneer High School defence could stop us right now. Our only good player is Sam Mcguffie, and by time we actually finish rebuilding he will be a senior and he will be wasted talent. You know who I blame this s### show on is all of the fans calling for Lloyd Carr's job last year, hell at least we made a bowl game and beat Flordia. The only Bowl game we are going to make this year is the Waste Management s###tiest team bowl. I guess Lloyd wasn't that damn bad after all.

can we give a GPA to someone on another site? this is hillarious!!

Talk about Barwis effect... I would take the hockey player in 3 rounds every day of the week. Hockey player against walk on tailback should be a no brainer. Barwis is the man, the myth and the legend for helping this kid take down that hoser. At least pride is restored to the U of M football program. Until next Saturday that is...

The attacker was from Ohio. That should tell you why it went down like that.

Meh...I got Purdue, GVSU, and Texas t-shirts. Hell I even have an Ohio State bottle opener that plays some awful song or another when you use it, thanks to my Buckeye cousin.

What years did you play for UM? I don't think Braylon went to an ACC school either, just sayin'.

If ANY Buckeye was caught wearing another teams (let alone another B10 team) shit, HE better explain himself. I don't care if anyone asks or not.

I just wonder (and this question comes from Varsity Blue not me) why any media outlet (looking at ESPN here) would speculate "what it means" when they could get off their asses, do some journalizing and reportery stuff, and ask the guy.
Ask a pertinent question... never!

Anyone who believes Braylon is anything less than a true Wolverine has been hitting the sauce too hard. I just found it a little funny that he was "caught" wearing a PSU shirt on TV. For all we know he could have lost a bet like this one:

as was already mentioned....usually a lost bet gets paid off after the game, not before.
Link? The closest thing I find regarding what you are referring to is this:

You know your team sucks when you lose bets before the game is even played!
It also could have been a bet from last year... it could be Braylon just giving people something to talk about... it could be the clean shirt someone gave him (as HTM mentioned) on top of the pile. I don't know his intentions and honestly don't care.

Video interview of Devonte Holloman, standout safety recruit (UM was finalist when he committed to Clemson, decommitted after Bowden was fired).

Favorites are LSU, SCar, Tenn, (hoping to hear from) UNC and anyone else still interested. Official visits set up with LSU & SCar (Tenn already). ND & UM thrown in as 'maybe' at the end.

Not looking good for UM.

Transition harder than expected for Michigan

Saturday, October 18, 2008 3:22 AM

Did Rich Rodriguez know this would be a trying first season at Michigan? Yep.
Did he expect it to be this trying? Nope.
From his tumultuous departure from West Virginia to the difficult meshing of his spread offense with inexperienced players ill-suited to the system, it has been a brutal 2008 for Rodriguez.
A 13-10 loss to Toledo last week represents the nadir of what had already been a disastrous season for the Wolverines. Today, Michigan must try to slow the speeding freight train that is Penn State.
"I think most coaches will tell you that the first year they expect a few bumps in the road," Rodriguez said. "Honestly, I didn't feel we'd have this many bumps."

Penn State rally dumps U-M

Nittany Lions end their nine-game losing streak to Michigan with 39 unanswered points.

Angelique S. Chengelis / The Detroit News

STATE COLLEGE, Pa . --The refrain has become familiar: Can't put together a full game, the execution wasn't there, 24 hours and then we move on.

This is life as a Michigan Wolverine.

It's not fun.

Michigan is 2-5, has lost three straight and must win four of its final five to become bowl eligible. If not, the Wolverines' imposing streak of 33-straight postseason appearances will be snapped.
"We executed for a while, and then we didn't," Michigan coach Rich Rodriguez said, clearly looking frustrated. "That's what happened. We executed and we moved the ball a little bit, and when we didn't, we didn't.
 Yogi, is that you?

U-M players and coaches speak: 'I don't think we're going to ever lose to (Michigan) State' | Freep.com | Detroit Free Press

U-M players and coaches speak: 'I don't think we're going to ever lose to (Michigan) State'

Michigan defensive lineman Brandon Graham, on next week: "We're going to come out, we're going to work hard this week because I don't think we're going to ever lose to (Michigan) State. I feel like we're not going to lose to State because we're not going to lose to State. We're going to work hard and we're going to win."
Rodriguez, on how it feels to have the nine-game winning streak over Penn State snapped: "I've been at Michigan nine months. Nine months."

Does anyone else notice that Rich Rodriguez takes responsibility for NOTHING???

Players didn't execute.
Players didn't tackle.
Players didn't cover kicks.

I read that as "we're (the coaching staff) doing everything right but those guys out there playing just suck."

How about "I know my system isn't made for the guys I have here, but I'm too fucking stupid to know how to do anything else."

Talk about setting your team up to fail miserably.

No doubt. He's kind of like a slimmed down version of Charlie Weis with a little less arrogance.

You know whats funny about that, after the game was over last night the announcers said something to the extent of, "These players are working hard and the effort is there, but the talent level isn't. Lolyd Carr didn't leave much for Rick Rod." Obviously not word for word but it's the jist of it. Found that a little strange putting the blame solely on the players and not on Dick Rod for thinking he could come to the Big 10 and win like he did in the Big Least.
