A fan of a team that lost to a 1-AA team criticizing another team for beating 3 D-1A teams. I have officially seen it all.
Nice to see a win over a completely hapless NoD team has given tsuns fans back their rightful feelings of over inflated self.
No need to worry about those first two losses, the freshman QB, the defense, the coach or the fragile RB that is your entire team...you beat ND worse than PSU did. Rose Bowl bound.
I realize Michigan has a lot of questions, and it's only appropriate to bring them up. But then again, putting aside Michigan for a second, let's look at PSU's team shall we? A terrible QB who can't read defenses and who has struggled vs. any decent team he's ever played (Notre Dame '06, OSU '06, Michigan '06, Wisconsin '06) Hell he even struggled against ND this year. If you say Tennessee, I happen to think they were wildly overrated last year, but that's just IMO. Second, the RBs, Scott and Kinlaw, are nothing too impressive (I wish Scott would not suck, he's from my HS but he's always hurt). PSU's O-line is ok, but nothing great after the loss of Levi Brown. Then you move onto the WR/TE. Butler and Norwood are good receivers with good hands and adequate speed. Derrick Williams is the biggest fraud of a #1 recruit I've seen in a while.
Defensively, the D-line is the weak link. They struggle to get pressure at times, and I honestly can't name one PSU DL. The linebackers are the Big 10's second best unit (OSU) , though led by the #1 LB (Connor) and they are very fast and tackle well. Secondary is excellent with King, Wallace and Scirroto back there.
So, let's say Mallett plays for Michigan. Tell me if you would agree with this.
QB: Draw, maybe Morelli because he has experience but he's an awful QB IMO
RB: Michigan, despite your love for Mike Hart
WR/TE: Michigan by a little
OL: Michigan
DL: Michigan
LB: PSU (By a lot)
Secondary: PSU (By a lot)
Throw in the fact that Morelli is the next Drew Bledsoe when it comes to standing in the pocket and remaining a stationary target, and I like Michigan's chances.
