Re: RR's read option and who's fit to be a RB in it... Grady's listed as 5-9, 224. I think we'll find that he's suitable for RR's Offense.
Some WVU RB's who ran in RR's offense:

Kay Jay Harris - 6-1, 240
Jason Colson - 6-1 215
Quincy Wilson - 5-10 215

While I agree the Read Option looks for a scatback type RB, and I have little doubt RR will recruit that sort of back to Michigan in the coming years, if Grady's "the man" he'll be just fine.... assuming the Oline is worth half a shit, and the QB can make people worry about his running too.

Wait, so a big, slow power back is a better fit in a scheme that requires speed and agility compared to a power running game?
Fixed that for you.

Dawg, trust me he does. Anybody close to the program will tell you that.

What's up Randy Jackson? Didn't know you visited BP.

3/1 odds the next "proof" provided comes along the lines of "My dad can beat up your dad".

(Just kidding, goblue15)

He would respond, but he is banned...again.

He will hopefully have time to respond after his ban is up and I ban him again.

Hope that helps.

Carry on.

Michigan Times (UM Flint): New era in UM football, same recruiting excellence

New era in UM football, same recruiting excellence

David Veenhuis
2/21/08

In his first off-season as head football coach, Rich Rodriguez has assembled yet another group of highly touted recruits with one enormous prospect still considering signing with the University of Michigan. National signing day this year was Feb. 6, the first day that a high school recruit can officially commit to the school of his choosing. Prior to that, a recruit can give only a verbal commitment.

For Rodriguez, the toughest job this year was keeping the recruits that verbally committed to UM while former coach Lloyd Carr was still at the helm.

Among those that decided to honor their commitment to Michigan despite the coaching change were cornerbacks Boubacar Cissoko (Detroit, Mich.) and Sam McGuffie (Cypress, Texas), who played in the U.S. Army All-American game, and wide receiver Darryl Stonum (Stafford, Texas), who played in the Under Armour All-American game. Another standout signing was safety Brandon Smith (New Brunswick, N.J.) who actually cited Rodriguez as a major reason for his interest in the Wolverines when he verbally committed to UM during the U.S. Army All-American game.

Not only did Rodriguez convince previous commitments to stick with their originally choice, he was also able to entice a couple of others that had committed elsewhere.

cont'd...
