Coleman may already have taken ONeals spot at safety!

Let's not get carried away.............. From what I've heard, Jamo is solidly establishing himself. Let's not lose sight that O'Neal is arguably the 2nd most talented kid (besides Jenkins) in the secondary, and he has the potential be a All-Big 10 player.

Coleman was apparently a stud at safety. According to Mr. Ed on the Ozone he had 2 of the 4 picks. Bockman threw 2, and Henton and Schoenhoft each had 1.

From what I've heard, Todd B. has a firm grip on the 1st team spot..........and Henton has shown flashes of brilliance, along with flashes of inexperience.

Don't be surprised to see Todd B. be the guy for the next 2 years.

Interested to hear where your Jamo info came from... I've heard no praise whatsoever for O'Neal, and everyone seems to be lauding Coleman, Moeller, and Gant...

Wouldnt be suprised at all if Jamo was passed by Coleman or Gant... Coleman's playmaking ability cant be ignored

Someone can have all the athletic ability in the world but if they are nowhere where they are suppose to be then it does no good.

As far as Coleman... I hope we see him on the field a lot more. I think he can become a BIG TIME play maker for us. We are loaded at safety and it will be interesting to see how we use everyone.

Jamo - No question on athletic ability... will he work hard enough to learn the defense?

Coleman - I see big time written all over him.. if he doesn't start maybe Nickle

Gant - Heard nothing but great things

Schwartz - Haven't heard much about him and how he progressed

Patterson - Wasn't too impressed with him last year, but maybe another year of learning and grwoing will make all the difference this year

Moeller - Everyone praises his play making abilities

Clifford - Will he be too good to keep off the field?

Oliver - RS Most likely

Pentello - RS Most likely

Hines - LB or Safety?? RS Most likely

I've read the exact same things. It starting to sound like that if AR comes back completely healthy, he and Coleman will be the starting safeties. Apparently JamO really showed up during workouts, but Coach Johnson even said that JamO still needs time to learn the scheme and the mental part of the game. Not necessarily a good thing for a junior.
