2007 NFL Draft (Projections/Mock Drafts/Evaluations/Draft)

Draft Daddy By the way, using the same logic, we can easily see the Dallas Cowboys, perhaps, considering him in the first round. Although 22nd overall may seem a bit too high for Gonzalez, you really never know. Who ever expected that former Ohio State star Donte Whitner could go #9 overall in the 2006 draft?

Whitner went #8 to the Bills, the lions had the 9th pick and took Sims If I recall correctly

That's my belief when it comes to the NFL Draft. So many scouts and personnel people spend January until April trying to find ways to convince themselves why they don't like a guy. If you like him in November, why not like him come April?

He was a TB 2 years ago then put on weight and moved to FB to make room for the new stud. Most say he is better suited at TB.
I know, but I haven't seen anyone talking about him as a future RB. Some like him at FB, others as an H-back.

If we ignore that detail and rank him as a true RB, I can't place him above Hunt or Pittman.

... 1. Stanford senior quarterback Trent Edwards
The 6-foot-4, 224-pound athletic passer rebounded from a season-ending right foot injury to post 40-yard times in the 4.75 range. He then wowed scouts and quarterback coaches with his quick, compact delivery; overall accuracy; and deep ball during workouts. In fact, even some of the all-time best talent evaluators of this position weighed in following his pro day.
"He had some of the best pure mechanics and setup that I have seen in recent years," Pro Football Hall of Fame head coach Bill Walsh told reporters after the workout.

CMU OT Joe Staley stock skyrockets after pro day: Carroll County Times
Central Michigan left offensive tackle Joe Staley could climb into the top half of the first round following his impressive recent workouts.

The 6-foot-6, 302-pounder clocked a 4.79 and a 4.81 in the 40-yard dash at his Pro Day in front of representatives from all 32 NFL teams.

"He's a good fit for a lot of people," said Staley's agent, Rick Smith. "A lot of people are talking about Joe Staley.

The momentum keeps building. I wouldn't be surprised if he jumps over Levi Brown as we get closer to the draft."

Draft Daddy
Draft Daddy has updated our one round mock to project Staley to the Panthers at 14. As the article notes, Staley could leapfrog Levi Brown on draft day. As a general note we are past the major news cycles of the draft season, so we consider the first round projection to be more or less finalized, pending breaking news.
