2007 NFL Draft (Projections/Mock Drafts/Evaluations/Draft)

DraftDaddy :yow2:
Former Ole Miss star Patrick Willis runs "great" 40 times at Pro Day.
Patrick Willis LB Willis (6-1, 237 pounds) ran the 40-yard dash in 4.37 and 4.38. He also had a 4.37 short shuttle and 7.10 three-cone drill. He stood on his numbers from the Combine for the rest.
DD.comment: We think Willis would be a great fit for the linebacker needy Buffalo Bills at #12 overall, but the question is could he go even higher? Teams like Arizona (#5), Atlanta (#10) and San Francisco (#11) would be utterly foolish not to at least consider drafting Willis.

I'm hoping the Dolphins trade down with the Bills or Panthers and pick up another pick. Theres talk right now of the Dolphins trying to trade up with Tampa to draft Calvin Johnson. I love CJ but I think they have to give up too much for him. I'd think the Bills or Panthers would trade up and be able to solidify their defenses at #9.

Bills are more than likely going to stay put and go from there...we need depth as much as starters and so trading down doesn't make much sense for us...

Anyone think that Detroit does it again, and drafts Calvin Johnson?

There's been a lot of talk with what they do with the #2 pick, but drafting another first round WR would be pretty interesting.

CJ is by far superior to any of the 3 WRs they've drafted recently, but it would definitely be overkill for them to do it again.

Brady Quinn? Joe Thomas? What do you think they do?

I hope they don't get the chance.

Mock draft No. 4

First Round Selection

kan.gif
23. Kansas City Chiefs ? Ohio State wide receiver/return man Ted Ginn, Jr. The Chiefs have some concerns on the offensive line, but they seem hopeful that All-Pro guard Will Shields will return for one more season and that free agent Damion McIntosh will fill a major void at left tackle. With speedy receiver Eddie Kennison getting up in age and tight end Gonzalez now 31 years old, the chance to add a versatile playmaker like Ginn, who might slide this far if he is unable to work out for scouts prior to the draft, would be ideal to help loosen up opposing defenses that like to play eight-in-the-box against Larry Johnson.

Second Round Selection

21. Dallas: Ohio State WR Anthony Gonzalez
