2007 NFL Draft (Projections/Mock Drafts/Evaluations/Draft)

Yea, that was from an NFLN interview yesterday. He said he's been on the banquet circuit and hasn't had time to train properly for the 40.
I kind f question the advice he's getting from his agent and elsewhere, but I don't think that means he got fat out there.

Maybe he's spent too much time behind the autograph table.

I've resolved to just wait until the draft to see where he goes and root for him there.

I've resolved to do the same thing. I have read more comments about TS being a "natural leader," etc.

I just keep reminding myself that Tom Brady was a 6th rounder... and even though I don't like scUM OR New England, Brady's example is a little reassuring.

Here's something for all of you Alan Branch fans out there from Scout's observations of his workout...

Alan Branch/Michigan:
Branch worked hard and ran reasonably well in the forty. And while he flashed athleticism he quickly faded during the practice session and seemed out of shape. His stock is slipping. Several teams we spoke with at today's workouts said were it any ordinary player from any ordinary program they'd probably stamp him with a third round grade. Expect Branch to make a Jimmy Kennedy like fall in the draft.

Not sure what their real beef is. Like they said, his 40 and bench were pretty good. The drills I watched were primarily aimed at athleticism and slanted for DEs... and they would be right that he doesn't look terribly athletic. But what true NT does ?
If they came out and said that scouts combing over game film more caused him to drop, that's one thing.
I also wouldn't be surprised if they dropped him out of the top-5 (I think he was on the cusp of the top-5 coming in) or top-10. He's very well might not be top-10 material and scouts are starting to realize that.
Near as I can tell, though, he is the best true NT in the draft and FA. That speaks volumes to his worth for a 3-4 team, and how long he will be able to contribute in the NFL.

Something that I've found really interesting is that if Brady Quinn goes to the Dolphins, his career will follow Chris Quinn's. They both went to Dublin Coffman... then to Notre Dame... and now Chris is playing for the Heat. I use to think they had to be related... but they're not brothers.

They're first cousins I believe...

I always preferred hats in which the bill is the same color as the rest of the hat. Therefore, I don't like these that much.

I disagree, I used to not like them, but that was more the trucker hat with the snaps on the back...

But the fitted hats are nice...I bought the draft hat from last year and it was my first mesh hat I have ever owned and I really like it...

TO ME, they reek of cheapness.

They remind me of little league baseball hats.
