Understandable concern. But that's hopefully where Lewis will help out. Pitt could be brought along slowly as a change of pace back then hopefully we upgrade the line further in FA next year, or who knows, actually grab some good linemen in the draft this year. We'll see. I'm still hoping we draft Peterson, and if not trade down and add some additional picks to help the lines. I do not want Phil drafting a QB this year. I think it all hinges on what Oakland does. If they pass on Russell, I'd bet dollars to dogbones that we pick Russell. I hope not, because I just don't think he's a good fit for Cleveland.

I agree that we should not pick a QB named Brady. I am in agreement 90% on not taking a QB in the first two rounds, there is just something about JaMarcus that makes me think he is going to be a stud. If he is available at #3, and would not be totally upset if he is selected, but I would still rather them take Joe Thomas or trade down would be best. I have heard rumors that Savage has had talks with Rich McKay from ATL about trading our pick and moving down to #8 and Atlanta moving up to #3. No doubt the Browns would get more picks as well. At least a 2nd. But then that brings to mind, who would they target at #8? Levi Brown? There are quite a few quality defensive guys there, but seems like we need to address offense this year. Maybe AD slips to #8? Some mocks have him falling to #10. It depends on what ATL is targeting. We know they want CJ, but I have also heard they are interested in AD as well if CJ is not there. It should be a very interesting day(s) until the draft and draft day as well.

as a falcons fan, i have heard many rumors of us trading up to the #3 spot. They have been blowing smoke about taking gaines adams so that the Lions do not trade the #2 to tampa.

I have also read that Blank is in love with CJ, McKay and Petrino both like AP. so if we were to move up, my guess would be for one fo the two.

And if a trade does go down, i have heard us giving up the #8, #44 and next years 2nd round pick

Yeah, it's a pretty good site, although you really have to beware of a lot of the rumors they post on there because it amounts to throwing a bunch of shit at the wall and hoping something sticks. But their non-rumor content is fairly informative.

I understand that I make absolutely no difference in whether or not ATL is interested in Adrian Peterson but IMO, I don't think ATL should be even speaking of his name. RB should honestly be the least of their worries. They still have Warrick Dunn and that up and coming star everyone is excited about, Jerious Norwood. Thats just MO

If Atl. trades up it will be for CJ, RB is a great need position at this time. Dunn and Norwood (who I love but not sure he can tote it 25+ times a game) can hold down RB for a couple more years. In other words if they trade up it better be for a DE or WR. As for what you heard of the Falcons giving up, I have heard the price being asked is steeper. Getting to #3 won't do us much good if TB gets to #2, as both teams want the same guy.

thats why i heard McKay is starting to talk highly about Gaines Adams at #3 so that the Lions wont trade the #2, as the lions are really high on him and if the falcons say they are moving up for adams then the lions wont trade down to #4 with the bucs.
