2006 BCS, polls, Bowl Predictions and computer ratings

How about this?

46 coaches had USC ahead of scUM last week. Only 40 had scUM ahead of UF.

Looking at it like that I could very easily see UF picking up 40-50 votes this week and moving into #2 in at least that poll.

Same dynamic applies to the Harris. More votes "availible" after USC's loss than there was a gap between UM and UF.

So essentially it will come down to those few voters who made the difference for USC being #2 in both polls. 90-some in the Harris and 40-some in the Coaches.

I really think it will be UF now.

I hate scUM.

So with Florida winning the coaches poll and the USA Today poll, is it all but offical?

I believe it's the USA Today/Coaches poll. Not two seperate polls. The other poll we are waiting on is the Harris, since the AP no longer is factored in the BCS rankings.

The temper tantrums on GBW over this issue are pretty loud.

Screw em.

They are too damn stupid to realize JT did them a favor...he already said he did not believe in non-conference champs playing for the title. Therefore, the intelligent human realizes who he WOULD HAVE voted as #2...

Dumbasses.

While this doesn't count for anything in the BCS, it does in this case further illustrate that many voters are jumping Florida over Meaty. Hmm, The Harris usually comes out at about 3:00, we'll see. . .
