2005-2006 Latest Men's Basketball Rankings (Currently #6)

I want to be in the Dayton bracket...my dad and I were considering getting tickets to the 1st round
OSU will be in Dayton. The "DC bracket" refers to the regional round. That is the closest site to Ohio.

Did Jimmy recruit some guys out of the band to pick up the slack. What is the reason for the renewed optimism.
the wins over Louisville and WVU showed that they have a fire under their ass. They actually played defense against WVU for most of the game. The main reason for my optimism was the route that they would have to take to get to Dook: Washingon, Iowa, then Pitt. All teams can be beaten by Syracuse the way they played against WVU.

The teams above tOSU according to last week's rankings and their results...

#7 Texas (24-4)....went 2-0 this past week.
#8 Illinois (23-5)....went 1-1 this past week, losing to unranked Michigan.
#9 Flordia (22-6)....went 0-2 this past week, on a 3 game losing streak.
#10 Pittsburgh (21-4)....went 1-0 this past week.
#11 Tennessee (20-5)....went 1-1 this past week, lost 2 of 3 but beat #12 Florida.

#12 Ohio State (21-4)....went 2-0 this past week

I could possibly envision tOSU moving up to somewhere between 7-10 in this weeks rankings due out today.

After yesterday the top 5 in the RPI changed.

1. Duke
2. Villinova
3. UConn
4. Ohio State
5. Tennessee

Funny how 'nova is still ahead fo UConn. Amazing that we jumped Tennesee too...but just barely. LSU, Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan State, and Illinois all have really high RPIs...it's really helping us out.

New Bracketology is out. OSU is still a 2 seed, moved to the Minneapolis bracket where Nova is a 1 seed. The path for OSU in this one looks a lot easier than the last one: Oral Roberts, San Diego/Wichita St., Georgetown/Bucknell/LSU/Murray St gets you to the Elite 8.

Syracuse's chance at an E8 have been killed. They're still an 11, but they get NC State in the first and Tenn. in the second. I wouldn't even worry about Tenn. if that were the case.

I still have a hard time believing that GW is a top 10 team with that schedule...

They have played 2 ranked teams, defeated then #17 Maryland 78-70 and losing at then #18 NC State. The rest of their schedule is nothing but cupcake.

Anyone know their RPI?
