2005-2006 Latest Men's Basketball Rankings (Currently #6)

How comes we never had a BP poll for basketball like we did for football?

As of today if I had to create a power poll based on who would beat who in a neutral court...

1. Duke
2. UConn
3. Vilanova
4. Texas
5. Ohio State
6. Memphis
7. Gonzaga
8. George Washington
9. Tennessee
10. Pitt
11. Illinois
12. North Carolina
13. Kansas
14. LSU
15. Iowa
16. Florida

First off, what a win last night. That (I believe) gaurantees at worst a three seed.

But what is Jay bilas smoking! Even after last nights huge win, he has MSU ahead of OSU!

Plus read Pat Forde's comments.
You didn't specifically mention illinois, but their ranking is good for a chuckle too.
#7 Illinois...Lost to OSU by 16
#14 Michigan State...Lost to OSU by 11, at home.
#15 Ohio State

I think it's pretty clear his condition involves some form of dyslexia, heck I'm suprised he doesn't have Penn State in his top 5, they lost to OSU by 35 after all.

That confirms that Jay Bilas is a functional retard. I like Pat Forde's list myself...
. Duke
2. Villanova
3. Connecticut
4. Memphis
5. Ohio State
6. Gonzaga
7. George Washington
8. Tennessee
9. Texas
10. Pittsburgh
11. Kansas
12. Iowa
13. North Carolina
14. Illinois
Not much I'd change there.
15. UCLA
16. Florida

I would like to think that, if we win out in season and win our first tournament game, we get a #2 seed regardless of Saturday (and, with a win, Sunday). We'd be 24-4 at that point. At best, we'd get to 26-4; at worst, 24-5.

I have a hard time seeing us ahead of Duke, Connecticut, Nova and Memphis.

Texas is very overrated. Tennessee should be ranked ahead of Texas since they spanked them earlier this year.

What about Nova after tonight? :)
Cincy ain't that bad....but Villinova showed weakness, and that doesn't surprise me with the big game against UConn coming up. Whoever loses the UConn/Vilinova game needs to win the Big East tourney, or else they will be sititng with 4 losses, and have a shot at not getting a #1 seed. Memphis is in the same boat...they need to win out, becaue they really have nobody that good left to play, or else they may lose out on a #1.

Its hard to determine where this tOSU team deserves to be ranked, but they have no key losses and they have 4 losses by a total of 15 points, in each loss they had the lead in the second half. Personally, I will be happy with a #2 seed in the NCAAs and go from there.

Latest Bracketology is out....

OSU is a 2 seed. Even better is that they have left Duke's bracket and entered Nova's, which happens to be in DC. The only thing better than this and still being a 2 seed would be playing in Memphis' bracket in DC, which I don't think will happen.

Bad news for the next round (if this bracket holds up, which it won't). Playing in Dayton against Cinci. If that happens the Dayton round is going to be 1 tough ticket to get.

Syracuse has popped back in as an 11 seed, and from the looks of the bracket they are in now, they could actually make it all the way to the Elite 8 to play Dook. Seriously.

I want to be in the Dayton bracket...my dad and I were considering getting tickets to the 1st round

Did Jimmy recruit some guys out of the band to pick up the slack. What is the reason for the renewed optimism.
