There are 50,000 people at tOSU, most of whom has never tried to punt a ball. There are another 5 billion people in the world that could still apply to tOSU and walk on. There are still perhaps 3 weeks left to sign a NLOI. If there is someone out there who can punt, UFM will hunt them down.

OR ....

UFM could just always go for it on fourth down.

OR ....

maybe Frank will be a good punter ...

Johnny Townsend will still sign his LOI to tOSU and be a 4 year starter, advancing from All B1G to AA.

Fortunately, these delays rarely happen but no player "is a Buckeye!" until they sign their LOI. Here's hoping Johnny comes on board. :)

This is a big decision for these young men. Some need more time to be sure before they commit. Give him time.

Best of luck to the kid regardless of where he chooses his college ball. He's stuck between a rock and a hard place, but luckily he's blessed to have the opportunity to play for almost any school in the country.

If that's indeed how it shook out, I'd hope that the kid would look at Urban's track record and trust him that everything will work out numbers-wise. That said, I also could understand that it wouldn't be easy to receive that call (again, if this is indeed how it all shook out yesterday).
