No reason to pursue him after snagging Wilson and Clark.youra6;2302994; said:With Townsend at UF, is it possible to snag Cornelius?

Best of luck (as long as they aren't playing tOSU). I've had to make the call that I've changed my mind after accepting a job once and it was one of the hardest things I've ever done. I would have to think it would be damn near impossible to have that conversation with UFM.
You would have to think about it the other way around. Say you got offers from scUM and ND, but not from tOSU. UFM calls you the day before signing day and says a spot opened up do you want in? You jump at it regardless of who else will be standing between you and playing time. When you recruit outside of Ohio you are going to be fighting the hometown team more often. I'm not worried about tOSU finding a good punter.
In an ideal world with unlimited scholarships, sure. When you only have 82 scholarships you have to be more judicious with who you take. Marshall, Wilson, Smith, Clark, Elliot. The need for playmakers has been addressed, he won't be in this class. The class is already small next year, I'd hate to miss out on a stud linebacker or offensive tackle because we used an extra scholarship on a position that's already been addressed.youra6;2303008; said:More is always better.

?We have a scholarship issue and we were going to try to get a guy to walk on. Some other school comes in and offers a full scholarship and we lose him. It wasn?t like at the end we lost a guy, we knew that might be a problem.?
