'10 OH SG Cameron Wright (Pitt Verbal)

To summarize, we pretty much have four commits for the class of 2010.

One, at the age of 15:
- is projected as a candidate for Mr. Basketball
- is already one of the top freshman in the state and in the country
- had a phenomenal performance this summer during team play and AAU
- led his AAU team in points, steals, assists, rebounds, blocks, forced turnovers, and charges drawn
- has a very effective three point shot and pull up shooter. is deadly on the fast break with or without the ball, breaks down defenses and penetrates with ease
- is a cerebral player with great court vision and does not need the ball or need to score to impact a game.
- is capable of obtaining a triple double on any given night and is a superb defensive player
- as a Freshman led his HS team in points, steals, and assists
- and is committed to academic excellence

The other three are rated in the top 10 in the nation.

I can live with that.

Like the article said, not much suspense, but still great news when a kid makes it official with a press conference...

Anyone know if Benedictine is going to be making any waves in terms of state title run with Cam...

They made it to the elite 8 led by Cameron's 15pts and 6 asts 7rbd's 3.5stls 2blks a game in the tourney. they were 15-11 to end the year but half of their schedule was ranked in the top 25 in the state or ranked in the top 25 in the country(a la St. Eds). They are again projected to make it to the final four and possibly take home the title for Div.2.

Projected Starting Lineup for Benedictine

G 5'10 Romel Dismuke Junior
G 6'0 Derek Jackson Sophomore
G 6'5 Cameron Wright Sophomore
F 6'6.5 Justin Thomas Sophomore
C 6'9 Justin Jamison Junior

NOTABLE GAME: Against Walsh Jesuit. Cameron had 1 POINT AT HALFTIME BUT HE ENDED THE GAME WITH 33 POINTS

Keep up the hardwork, Cam--I'm going to start calling him "Killa Cam". Good luck to you as you work on developing your game over the years.

I like that alot... that would have been a greenie, if only...

Killa Cam made a great move by committing to this class asap. They can start talking and hanging out at AAU and other events. Its simply amazing where this program is right now.

That is one very impressive frosh highlight video...

He has a great shot, shooting over 40% from behind the arc...He has a great pull up jumper, can finish around the rim with either hand, and his silky smooth in his moves, also great with the ball in his hands...

Not sure on a comparison either...

Don't know which Cam you're talking about. I'm talking about "Killa Cam" the rapper. It's just irony, because he seems like a suburb kid, not anything like the rapper.
