The only thing that confuses me about this offer is that Benedictine is not really know as a basketball school and doesn't play that tough of a schedule also this is a surprise to everyone who has followed the AAU circuit to the best of my knowledge. I certainly am not questioning Thad's judgment but this through the came out of the blue or should I say Scarlet:)

Wright will join Buckeyes

Tuesday, October 23, 2007 Mike Peticca

Plain Dealer Reporter
Benedictine's Cameron Wright, a 6-4 sophomore guard, has made an oral commitment to play college basketball at Ohio State.
Wright made the commitment on Saturday, Benedictine coach Rob Stircula said Monday. Wright went to Columbus with his parents, Kevin and Cheryl Wright, and Stircula on Saturday, and watched Ohio State's 24-17 football victory over Michigan State.
Benedictine will host a news conference at 3 p.m. today regarding Wright's commitment. He and other players from the high school class of 2010 cannot sign national letters of intent until November 2009.

I understand your view on the off and verbal being a suprise. I compare this situation to P.J. Hill who was relatively unknown but has been getting good reviews early in practice, I feel that Thad must see something in this kid at this stage that maybe other staffs are missing.
