'09 TN WR Marlon Brown (Georgia Signee)

Ha, as soon as he Mentioned OSU first without hesitation, I knew this board would go crazy.

Yeah, when he announced Ohio State first of the schools, it was kind of wishful-thinking. Subconsciously, I knew Pryor announced Ohio State first a lot of times when listing schools.

Was really impressed with his agility for a 6'5" guy. Just seems to be a big play waiting to happen, but would to see him be a little less cocky.

I dunno I think at wide-out cockiness is something that is a must.

--->T.O, and Randy Moss

only 2 examples, plus it was pretty funny.

Some kids are outright arrogant. I saw MB's "cockiness" as kinda tongue in cheek, joking around stuff. Hope he's wearing scarlet and gray.

Rivals.com Football Recruiting - Under Armour Analysis: Stars of the game
(free)

WR Marlon Brown, 6-5/205, Memphis (Tenn.) Harding Academy
ASSETS: Has great size, good speed and does things with the football that 6-foot-5 receivers shouldn't be able to do.
AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT: Brown needs to get more consistency with his hands and continue to improve his route running.
WHAT WAS MOST IMPRESSIVE IN THE GAME: Brown showed great speed to outrun safety Darren Myles to the end zone on their first play from scrimmage that resulted in a 71-yard score. He also had a nice reception on a long out route thrown by Barkley.
CONCLUSION: This kid has so much upside with his combination of size, speed and athleticism that once he puts it all together, watch out.

The buttclowns calling the game said that Marlon's downside was his lack of "breakaway speed". I guess they didn't consider his pulling away from the elite DBs after the catch on his TD run "breakaway speed"...

I was thinking the exact same thing! Sometimes people are so clueless that they read the notes on a page when they can't believe what they are seeing with their own eyes.

This will change if he commits to Georgia or Tennessee. If he commits to OSU, then they are right. He will not have breakaway speed.

I didn't think he was supposed to be a burner, but Brown was covering some serious ground.

You might want to find better examples to support your position.

Why?

Randy Moss in my opinion is the best wide out in football. He dominated high school, college, and the pro's. I can only hope Marlon continues to dominate as he had at the high school level.

T.O. is pretty good as well.

I've got the same amount of rings as both of them combined. While both players may be great performers, take into account the negative impact they have on the team chemistry.
That being said, by no means do I feel like Marlon Brown is cocky or rude or anything like that. I saw what you were referring to and that's just HS kids having fun. I'm looking forward to hearing about where Marlon chooses to attend, all the while hoping he's wearing scarlet and gray next year! Go bucks!
