We're gonna have a tough fight(even though we should win) with ND for this kid. St. X constantly puts kids from their HS into ND! Whether academically or athletically!

Wrong. X has been a ND feeder for a long time but it's died down a bit lately and that connection hardly means they're a player for everyone coming out of X. They don't hold a candle to OSU in the race for Pat's services.

Exactly. Plus, I think St. X is pretty unique in that there is very little consensus among the students, faculty, etc. as far as one favorite college so I don't think kids are pressured to any particular school. St. X students come from all different neighborhoods and backgrounds and there are even a decent amount of kids from Kentucky and Indiana. Unlike Elder, Moeller, LaSalle, Colerain, etc. it doesn't represent a certain neighborhood. I think that is a big factor in St. X not really being a feeder to anyone.

I agree with your points, I just said we would have a fight with ND over him. I'm very familiar with St. X, as many of closest friends and several family members attended the HS. Yet almost all of them are ND fans(as well as tOSU fans). And I think with the past recruiting classes at ND, they're definitely a player for him! Although, with the roll we're on in recruiting as of late I'd love to see Pat as an addition to the class.

St X is Jesuit. They are The liberal/independents of the Catholic church. I agree, they are a feeder to know one.

Coming from St. X, there is a definite draw to ND. It has not translated to athletics, partly because X doesn't have a whole lot of athletes on that level. But I agree, Muldoon does not fit that model. He owns plent of OSU jerseys.:wink2:

This is the first time I've posted here, but I've been lurking around and doing a lot of reading, and I want to somewhat refute what you're saying.

I too am an X grad, and I felt and saw almost no pull to ND in my graduating class. I'm not sure when you graduated, so things might have changed since then. There were obviously students who dreamed of going to ND, and some of them did, but on a whole there was no "If you're a good student at X you wanted to go to ND." I think the same can be said of athletics.

From the ND site. Muldoon has narrowed down his list, but will not share that info until he has informed every school that has been cut. Notre Dame has been in contact, and he says that he would visit if offered.

Scout.com: Muldoon Could Break The Norm

Say something about his interest in tOSU and how tOSU dosen't go to St. X to recruit that many people .
:oh::io::osu::osu::osu::osu::osu:

Bit more in depth....

Per St. Xavier head coach Steve Specht, Ohio State leads for Muldoon's services. Says every other Big Ten school has been in contact with Pat, as well as Alabama & Virginia .
