Not really...still way too early.

I wonder which factor looms larger in Hale deciding he may not visit AA:

The uncertainty about the future of scUM's head coach or....

The way they have played the first two games.

On a sidenote - I think scUM overlooked ASU and the Ducks are a really good team. The first loss was on Michigan and their coaches...the second, I think they got beat by a much better team.

The article has direct quotes about both, but it seems the future of the coaches is the major hang-up...

Yes, now this I can definitely see/understand. The fact is that the coaching uncertainty was there before all of this, but now it's magnified and perhaps the total failure on the defensive side of the ball has thrown into question whether Meat has the correct staff on either side of the ball. Seems like there could be significant changes everywhere on this staff.

Looks as if Ron English should have taken his NFL money, much like Henne. They may not get the same chances they would have at the end of last year.

Good point, but wrong thread. :wink2:

Is Hale still looking at the package deal? Even though I think I saw we offered Coples (sp?), it seems like that would still hurt us here.

Edit: oops, I meant Saddler, not Coples.

Not much here...typical Hale interview. He might re-schedule Michigan and wants to schedule tOSU, but he has not spoken to the OSU staff recently.

Could that be b/c of the season starting or does it appear that the staff is losing interest?

EDIT: Not trying to be knee-jerk...just asking the question in the context of Hale's statement.

Shayne has canceled his first scheduled official visit to Virginia and says he is not even sure if he will reschedule. He is going to hold off on recruiting for a while a focus on the season.

Nothing but good news here. He does confirm the WVU official so far, and has yet to schedule one for Ohio State, but after canceling two already to Michigan and Virginia, two schools that were likely to be offering up the package deal with Saddler, this bodes very well for Ohio State's chances.
