'08 PA LB Shayne Hale (Pitt signee)

I can't speak for anyone else here, but losing a player of Shayne Hale's abilities is never "not much of a loss" IMO. Great get for the Panthers, who I always like to see doing well.

(This is not a sky-is-falling post; simply saying Shayne Hale is clearly a terrific player and the more terrific players you have, the better.)

No doubt. Great get for Pitt. It didn't appear that it could work our for tOSU as we felt he was a lineman and he feels otherwise. As with many other times, it will be fun/interesting to see him develop and what position he ends up at. Either way, he seems like a good kid so best of luck to ya.

The good news is that he won't be a LB at PSU, instead he is headed for team obscurity in the big least. Pitt isn't going anywhere, they still have Wannstadt.

I agree, but it's small consolation, although I think w/Nix and Baldwin too, they will definitely improve. I'm heartbroken for us...but JT knows best, no doubt.

I really had a good feeling about Shayne as a Buck for the last 12 months or so. I wish it would have worked out. In one USAAB video I saw, big Mike was very gracious in his praise of Shayne's toughness, and I let my imagination think that maybe the boys were working on him. Oh well. Very best wishes, Shayne!!

It seemed like JT & Co. cooled off on recruiting him for a little bit which seemed to have affected his final decision. Oh well, I'm not devastated either. Congrats to Shayne for reaching a decision....would loved to have you here in Columbus!
