'08 PA LB Shayne Hale (Pitt signee)

If he likes playing linebacker, then UVA would strongly appeal to him. Al Groh loves having as many linebackers as he can get and his 3-4 defense lets the linebackers make all the plays. Groh can recruit him as an OLB and let him have the best of both worlds (LB and DE) so to speak. Question is, why would you look down your nose at schools like WVU and UVA?

Check the Wyoming-UVA box score . . .

Because obviously Ohio State doesn't churn out excellent linebacker prospects year after year... :roll2:

Or, he could go to Meatchicken, and start at whichever LB position he wanted to on day one of camp......a grim thought, but who knows how a 17 year old's mind works. It can't be the helmets, so Tress & Co better sell the heck out of Llloyd not being around (nor his weak coordinators) for much longer.

:gobucks3::gobucks4::banger:C'mon Shayne, make the right choice, and be a Buckeye! Learn from the best, and become the best!

Me thinks that yesterday will prove to have exactly zero positive side effects for scUM in any way possible ever. It may not hurt their chances with Shayne, that's not for me to call, but it's impossible for that loss to help.

Um after the ASU loss, I think selling Lloyd leaving would be a boost for Michigan

IMHO, this is good news especially after a recent Bill Kurelic post in a non-premium thread on BN where he noted he thought Hale would be maize and blue...I am not sure what details he is privy to which prompted his line of thinking, but I am sure he had his reasons.

Was Kurelic post prior to last weekends debacle? If all things were equal- maybe the loss of prestige and the uncertainty of Carrs future may have given us a boost to the top.
