'08 OH WR/DB D.J. Woods (Cincinnati signee)

His offer happening immediately on the heels of Koger verballing to Michigan sent a flag up with me, too, but I think grade concerns were the main delay...I think D.J. was going to get his offer anyway once he showed the staff he was not going to be an academic concern, and Koger's verbal simply hastened the process.

If I am not mistaken, I think I read yesterday that his grades from summer school just came out. With the good grades, it prompted OSU to give him the offer. I don't think this has anything to do with anything other than the grade he needed in summer school.

Nebraska Rivals - 07/28/07

D.J. talks about his recent unofficial visit (his second overall) to Nebraska. He plans to take his official visits, including one to Nebraska, possibly for the Southern Cal game in September. He talks with several 'Husker verbals, including Douglass RIppy from Columbus. He will announce in November or December.

Woods mentions Nebraska, Auburn, Alabama, and Penn State as schools of interest, and denies being an Ohio State "lock".

Strange update....

Strange indeed.

i got mixed signals on this. are we in his top 5 or just another offer on his resume?

waiting till December? Lets see....7 spots available. I thought he was practically begging for an offer...which I know he earned, but did so with the help of media hype. Heck, I even went to the shoe during camp to see some of the recruits and one of the kids parents asked "Are you here to see Terrelle?" I said no I am here to see "Man on Fire" DJ Woods. I mean, being labeled "Man On Fire" is gonna get some extra attention in addition to that which is warranted.

Come on DJ! Buckeye nation loves you! You are like the "peoples choice". Do what you gotta do but know that you're killing us all with the chase.

Though DJ loved the Bucks, he loved playing WR even more. Can't blame him one bit. Nebraska is a GREAT football school and he will do very well in Callahan's Offense. Best of luck to DJ.

AND, who knows, if Nebraska joins the Big Ten maybe we'll see him play in The Shoe after all. :wink2:
