Slow playing Woods in favor of whom, exactly? There were no other serious CB offers out there when D.J. got his....BuckeyeLiger87;886341; said:I'm not buying that whole grades thing at all, just the staff slow playing a kid imo.
I'm glad you're so well-connected...any other insights?BuckeyeLiger87;886341; said:I'm not buying that whole grades thing at all, just the staff slow playing a kid imo.
Taking summer school could just as well mean he knew he had to get his grades in order before he got the offer(s) he wanted....Buckeyecty4;886368; said:Getting one A in summer schools = serious about academics.. I agree with the poster above...
BuckeyeLiger87;886442; said:I don't think its just a coincidence that when the staff misses on two players who played positions that wern't a need in this class, a kid who plays another non need position finally gets his offer. No knock on Woods if he is coachable at all he has a bright future he's very athetically gifted.
Yeah, I suppose that your argument makes sense - the Ohio State staff is known for recruiting kids at "non need positions", so I guess that when a "non need" tight end prospect commits somewhere else, then JT will just toss out an offer to a "non need" cornerback instead. :crazy:BuckeyeLiger87;886442; said:I don't think its just a coincidence that when the staff misses on two players who played positions that wern't a need in this class, a kid who plays another non need position finally gets his offer. More likely, the Buckeye staff realized that D.J. was suddenly becoming a "hot" prospect and didn't want to be left on the outside looking in. Hence, the offer before the grades.BuckeyeLiger87;886452; said:I just don't buy the grade thing.
