'08 OH WR/DB D.J. Woods (Cincinnati signee)

This really surprised me a lot at first being a native of strongsville. Most kids grow up there buckeye fans.

However, I remembered back to my college picking experience where i was completely undecided as to where to go until I took my visits. Seeing the place you'll be for the next 4-5 years is important and I never looked back after I visited Ohio State. It seems the same is true for Woods, in addition to his desire to play receiver.

OH Well! No matter what anyone says, everyone was all for DJ and still are. He is a great athlete and we can root for him at Nebraska.

It just doesn't sit well with me that JT and Co. offered after media hype, thus upsetting the other speed guys that are wanting an offer(Adams,Peade,McGuffie, etc) and then doggin us like this. Oh Well!

But not in a million years do I think any position at Nebraska is better than one at tOSU. Bad decision on Woods' part.

Good Luck DJ

Maybe Johnny Adams will get an offer, but other than that, go to the tried and true method sniffing around in Florida and seeing what pops up. I don't think Brian Rolle was on the staff's radar in a huge way at this juncture last year.

Good luck to D.J. in Lincoln. For as disappointed as some folks are going to be over this one, the last comment he made in his interview (post-commitment) is something that has to make the Nebraska faithful pretty excited, as it would Buckeye Nation had he picked to play in Columbus. Good for him.

I guess he wanted an offer so he could spurn us...he seemed awful excited about his OSU offer and that is the only reason I can think of as to why he was so excited about it. Oh well, as the Soup Nazi says...NEXT!

The last couple updates rubbed me the wrong way.. just like RB said.. sounds like he wanted the OSU offer, just so he could then turn around, and shock everyone by spurning us..

To go on and on about wanting an OSU offer and how special it would be.. to then get it, and committ somewhere else one week later, bothers me.. as does the fact he didn't even mention OSU as a school that stood out to him in his latest update..

W/e I always felt he was a combine warrior, and hadn't shown much on the field.. so I'm not exactly disappointed he went elsewhere... just felt he was a little unclassy with some of his comments or lack thereof regarding OSU
