'08 OH SF Delvon Roe (Michigan State Signee)

open post is played more than you think, but its not considered a very good set. usually used when a team is super under manned and used with a full court trap.

that being said, it seems to me you are going to see a lot more sets out of matta, with more wersatile personnel i would imagine the sets would be varied to dictate mistmatches and expose oppositions weaknesses.

i wouldnt be suprised to see some of the old msu 3 6'8'' guys (or essentially a 4 and a couple of tweeners), a more traditional 2 gaurd set, 2 points, 3 gaurds, 4 around 1, even a more uptempo pressing team. with the size and athletic ability of the teams he is recruiting it seems only logical to me.

I will say I'm surprised at this point to be losing ground with him. Is it playing time? Because you'd have to think that if Matta were working this kid hard, and if playing time wasn't an issue, then he'd be a Buckeye, right?

Lets be clear that his recruitment is far from over but that the staff does have some ground to make-up. Playing time may be a factor but that hasn't been addressed by Roe or anyone close to him. It may be a case of a kid who wants to leave the state to play at the next level. It's far from over.

Matta going after SF Eric Wallace is a clear indication where we stand with Roe...slim and none. Why waste time on another Morgan situation, get a kid in here that wants to be a buckeye then Matta can go after Gates without Roe being the stumbling block for Gates to commit.

 We may not be the leader at the moment, but you don't just give up on a top 10 talent.

BTW I wouldnt really say that Roe and Wallace are the same type of player.
