St. Edward basketball star Delvon Roe, one of the most coveted high school juniors in the nation, will make an unofficial visit to Ohio State this weekend.

Roe, a 6-8 post ranked No. 5 by Scout.com in its national Class of 2008 rankings, already has made unofficial visits to Michigan and Michigan State, and plans to make an unofficial visit to North Carolina in October.
Some of the biggest names in the college coaching ranks were at St. Edward over the summer to watch Roe work out and many of them have made return trips.

Michigan State's Tom Izzo was at St. Edward on Tuesday. Billy Donovan, coach of the national champion Florida Gators, and Michigan's Tommy Amaker visited on Wednesday. North Carolina's Roy Williams and Kansas' Bill Self are scheduled to visit today.

Ohio State coach Thad Matta is expected to make another trip to St. Edward next week, Eagles coach Eric Flannery said, as is Illinois coach Bruce Weber. Visits from Louisville's Rick Pitino and Connecticut's Jim Calhoun also are expected.

"Delvon's parents and I sat down last week and we really have not narrowed down the list of schools yet," Flannery said. "We're going to keep it open for another month or two, to see who has shown interest and that type of stuff. Delvon is definitely going to wait out the year, but we may narrow the list before the start of the [upcoming] season."

Roe averaged 19.3 points, 11.9 rebounds and 5.5 blocks last season.

Roe visited tOSU this weekend and watched the football game with his family and Coach Matta.

Not entirely sure what he looks like... is he in with that gang? I'm guessing no...

You are correct, that group picture is only of this year's basketball team. The recruits did not get to go on the field. The picture does include newcomers Madsen, Oden, Conley, Lighty, Cook, and Hunter.
