'07 AR RB Broderick Green (USC signee, Arkansas transfer)

hell of RB haul for usc. mcknight, tyler and green.

That's what I was thinking. You'd have to guess that Tyler or Green are going to become a LB or FB. Either way, you can't blame kids for believing they are the best, and not being afraid of competition.

Also, from USC's perspective, you just brought in 3 top-flight athletes. You know that you're going to get to choose which one to play at the running back position, and you can bet damn sure that one is going to be a stud.

Scout.com: Wednesday Practice Notes

During team drills the offense was focused on running between the tackles. Broderick Green and Alan Bradford, two of the bigger tailbacks, got the majority of the carries. Green looked particularly impressive running the ball up the middle. Green who is listed at 6'1 230 was dishing out plenty of punishment. Bradford and Green are both viable options in short yardage and goal line situations.

USC tailback Broderick Green, a redshirt freshman from Arkansas, will no longer practice with the team and will transfer at the end of the fall semester, Coach Pete Carroll confirmed Sunday. USCfootball.com, a website not affiliated with the university, reported late Saturday night that Green had told coaches he intended to transfer because of family reasons.

Living here in Little Rock, I can say that there are health concerns with his family. Dunno what all the contributing factors are and certainly playing time could be a part as well, but I wouldn't blame the kid for heading back to Arkansas.

I can't wait to see where this kid lands! He's a stud and he's gonna make whatever team he goes to significantly better. I'm surprised we're not hearing more kids leaving from the RB position at USC. Petey must be telling these kids something

Well, he must not be that much of a stud, He endorsed the idea of Ronald Johnson's family to move, why didn't he do that with Green?

Surely you jest...

But in case you don't, there are health issues and you don't just pick up the family truckster and move the whole family in these cases.

Not much of a surprise, but Mr. Green is transferring to Arkansas. He's gonna be a stud in that system that he will be featured in. I won't be surprised to hear him listed as one of the best RBs in the SEC after he sits out next year. Time to change the name of this thread to Arkansas signee.
