'06 FL S/WR Jamar Hornsby (official thread)

After following this stuff for 5-6 years, I am fully aware that a kid is not signed until the ink is dry. But this another one of those situations that makes me even more skeptical the next time I hear a kid say he is visiting OSU without having us as one of his top 5-6 schools.

I hear ya Wadc........it is a little unusual in that he said he would "definetly" visit Ohio State and then a few days later they are not on the final list, some kids change their mind quick or just say whatever they want to reporters.

From the Michigan site...Jamar visited UM this past weekend and the visit has pushed the Wolverines up his list. He was hosted by Carson Butler, a freshman TE. He will also visit Florida on 11/25. His last three visits will most likely be to Georgia, Alabama, and USC.

Alabama Rivals $

Jamar was going to visit 'Bama this weekend but can't because he is taking the ACT. The visit to Michigan really opened his eyes to what is out there. He states that Florida had been at the top, but everyone is even now. Jamar will visit Alabama and Florida officially in November and USC sometime. His fifth visit is still up for grabs.

Hornsby Sees Thriller At Michigan

By Phil Kornblut
WR Jamar Hornsby (6-4 195) of Jacksonville, FL made his official visit to Michigan over the weekend, so he was able to witness the Wolverines' thrilling victory over Penn State. "I had a great time," he said. "I got a chance to meet a lot of player and a lot of alumni. I see why they call it The Big House. Everyone was screaming, 'We want Hornsby'. It puts Michigan up on my list a little bit." Hornsby has not set any other visits but wants to with Southern Cal and Alabama. He is also looking at Georgia and Florida. He's also hearing regularly from USC. "You never know," he said when asked if he might become more interested in the Gamecocks. Hornsby was scheduled to visit Alabama this coming weekend but will have to reschedule because he is taking the SAT this Saturday. He does not have a favorite.
