This is good info. I called DirecTV on this issue just a few days ago. I have a 3 LNB dish and a $500 HD/DVR receiver that I bought about this time last year. I have to use the antenna to get my locals in HD and was checking to see if my market had locals in HD yet without using the antenna...
The reason it took so long to put Archie up there is because we didn't even start retiring numbers until what, '99-00? The other four Heisman winners were done shortly after.
Where is there anything about five years? They didn't even start retriing #'s until what, the late 90's. I don't think Eddie's had anything to do with time, rather the fact that he was the last Heisman winner and they had four others to do before him.
I thought the picture of the baby letting out an "OH" was hillarious.
I don't know if it made it on TV, but one said something like "Even Corso's little blue pill can't bust these nuts."
He may be the best and I believe that he probably is, but don't you need to perform in order to be given the award? What if he went the whole year with only 30 catches for 500 yards due to poor QB play or bad play calling? It may not be his fault but are those numbers good enough to be a major...
While he may be the most talented WR in the country and possibly the first WR taken in the draft, I honestly don't think he deserves the award. Yes, his QB is not very good, but how can the honor of the top WR in the country go to a guy who is:
1) ranked 32nd nationally in receiving yardage...
Wasn't it the Fiesta Bowl last year where Gary or Brent were talking about how much Chuck said we ran to the right and then Pittman starting running left and broke the long TD to the left? I think the comment about JT establishing a tendancy in order to break it later in the season is right on.
I thought I heard them say there was a concert there Thursday night and the stage wasn't fully removed until Saturday morning and there was another event there within the past week (soccer game maybe).
While they may have been more deserving, that picture is awesome.
Subscribers get it early. I don't think they hit the shelf until the following Tuesday.
