Might opine that tOSU is willing to invest 'some' bigger money into the team, expecting Diebs (the chef), to build a team that can compete, and win some of the big ones. If the chef builds a nice cake, and it tastes good (with wins), then more money will go into the ingredients. Hopefully to...

Sounds to me a bit that tOSU is going to stand with current RB room. Even though it 'sounds' like a couple will exit via the portal this year. All pretty young, underclassmen, and all believe they should be RB1. Very much expect tOSU to be active in the portal this year, looking for an OL...

Operated that way myself, 'back in the day'. Ask people you trust for their opinion, more than one, then weight what they'd do against current conditions, personnel, etc. Ultimately your job/career depends on your decision. Father once told me you're doing well if you are correct 50% of the...

Maybe a useless question, but wonder how much info Urban actually gets from Ryan regarding tOSU plans. On one hand, can see Ryan asking for the benefit of Urban's wealth of knowledge, but also knowing that Urban now makes his living going on TV/media and spouting off things to make him seem...

Not that the 'great unwashed' amongst know who Coach Kambui might be....

Expect many teams have same thing occurring, whether it's the 'lights going on', grim realization that it's your last year in the spotlight, recognizing that the pros don't draft mediocrity, or something I've not thought of, it's great when the 'aha moment' hits, and especially if it's your...

Amazing how platitudes sound, until it happens to you. Keeping oneself sharp while riding the pine has got to be one of the hardest things to do. Now there's the 'ah ha' moment, so guess will see if TSC has squandered his practice time, or it helps him rise to the occasion. As someone said...

And never discount the fact that many recruits will be attending this game on the USC sideline. Hopefully, from what read on Recruiting thread, a number of Mater Dei players (?) might get a glimpse of the heart and soul of the Buckeye team. If I were a recruit, I'd watch both teams, with an...

Always like stories like his, last year, spot player, and 'showing out' when he gets in. 'an instant hero' or somesuch, after 4+ years in the program. Absolutely love it.

Truly hope that when TSC learned he was #3, he continued, or maybe upped his intensity on the practice field. Did more of whatever, hit the weightroom harder, whatever a QB does to improve himself. Instead of moping around, bemoaning that he was a 5*, losing out to a 3*. Would hope that he...

Don't get nervous when read a DJJ post (yeah, right!), and hope that the Buckeyes win out in this sweepstakes. Know that staff is still recruiting him, and strengthening the bridges that they have built. Time will tell, and all the other parables can think of. Don't really read (in recruiting...

During my 50 years living in Cali, would order my ProV1x golf balls with daughter's water polo number, and have a 'Go Buckeyes' stamped on them. Out there, never a doubt whose ball it was. Have moved back to Ohio (where daughter now lives), and all my Buckeye swag is just routine....oh well.

Believe he's doing a very good job. May not have Sonny/Arvell's nose for the ball quite yet, but he's getting there. Didn't know he was such a good pass defender, thought the off LB was responsible for the TE drags. Anyway, classic example of 'next man up'. Go Bucks!

After what saw from Fahey, would believe that the competition was very much open. Don't really much care who's under center, only hope it's the person that gives us the best chance to win a game. Another sad thought crossed my mind, this might derail Jeremiah's run toward a Heisman. Cannot...

Well, our $10 (or is it $12M) million braintrust has certainly planned for this day (Day). And haven't seen nary a word by the talking heads. Where's Eddie Guiton when you need him?

Maybe we simply skip the QB, and do wildcat plays to Jeremiah? And questioningly, thought Day picked up an 'experienced' QB to backstop Sayin while the two youngsters learn the system. What ever happened to him? Silently sitting on the pine, and sucking down NIL $? Better get him out...

Good stuff above. Am a bit of an oldie, so reading that "JJ becomes a megatron", believe that Woody got it right, only different circumstances, when he said, "with a pass, three things can happen, and two of them are bad" (my memory of his quote". The old guy was right, many years after his...

Kinda believe that we're back in the QB trial days. Best one plays. Here's hoping that either/both play up to tOSU standards.

Kinda chuckling about Herbie's picture. Believe, either read or heard, that Herbie was the ONLY skill player NOT drafted during Coop's years at tOSU. Am certain someone will check, but hey. Now, he's done very well for himself in life-after-football, and hats off to him. I mean, heck, if a...

Would imagine that Day & Co would have two offenses working side by side for the next two weeks. One with Fahey at the controls, and one with TSC. Run the D1 and D2 teams alternatively, and maybe pull out their stops. Not argument about who's QB1 or QB2, just work them both hard, and see who...
