QB Tavien St. Clair (Official Thread)

who can hit Jeremiah in stride on the deep ball? thats 21 points a game if either of them can drop it in nice.
Both of these qbs can throw the deep ball better than Sayin. Watching the spring game TSC really liked going long to Henry.

I assume Fahey will get the start, and he's going to do very well.

They would only start TSC if they get caught up in the potential. I myself am caught up in the potential. If TSC could get over the hump we would have something very special.

I don’t see any need to throw out speculation like that. You have no idea how hard this guy is working and speculating that’s he not working as hard as he should be is some bullshit.
Really going to echo this hard because it is bullshit speculation at its core. TSC is an extremely hard worker and was going to take some time to develop into an OSU level QB. Next year was when I thought he'd probably be ready to go, but the script has changed obviously and his time is now if he's ready. The talent is there in droves, but I'm just trusting the coaches because they know where he's at as opposed to Fahey. We don't. And Ryan Day is the best damn QB head coach in the nation, so if anyone's got this it is him.

Truly hope that when TSC learned he was #3, he continued, or maybe upped his intensity on the practice field. Did more of whatever, hit the weightroom harder, whatever a QB does to improve himself. Instead of moping around, bemoaning that he was a 5*, losing out to a 3*. Would hope that he internally fortified himself, and went after it harder. Would be a great article for some newsie to have written, but didn't see one. Nevertheless, am hoping (for Buckeyes sake), that he is entering this redo with another level of skillset, attitude adjustment, and whatever it takes to make an athlete great. The 'next man up' attitude will hopefully prevail. Also believe that Day will play both, as under fire experience is worth more than dummy drills (no touchee on QB) during weekly practices. Will be interesting. Seem to recollect that Stroud was kept on a leash, as there was no seasoned QB behind him. Go Bucks!
Exactly what I wanted to say. If he wasn't "competing" everyday like he wanted to be the guy regardless of reps knowing that one hit can change everything, that's a problem.

Now I understand that journalists and media people are mostly sleazy fucks and articles are tainted with the authors agendas so I'm hoping TSC and Luke both have been battling and working their asees off everyday.

I was actually quite optimistic and felt great about our QB room being one of the best in the country. The depth is shit now but the quality is still there I'm sure of it.

Amazing how platitudes sound, until it happens to you. Keeping oneself sharp while riding the pine has got to be one of the hardest things to do. Now there's the 'ah ha' moment, so guess will see if TSC has squandered his practice time, or it helps him rise to the occasion. As someone said, 'all you gotta do is toss some bombs to JS', excuse paraphrasing, well, that'd be OK as well. All three of the QB candidates are smart guys, else tOSU wouldn't have spent time and money on them, so boils down to execution. And we'll see how much coaching time was actually spent on the #2 & #3 QBs. Cramming for finals, never worked for me, and don't believe it'll work for QBs on the field either. We've seen this before (notably on the OL), so we'll see how it plays out for 'the most important position on the field'. Anyways, Go Bucks!

It's like preparing for war every single day for years and never getting sent. It takes a lot of professionalism and complete faith in what you are doing. It's not for everyone for sure but for the ones who are born for it, the calling won't let you take a day off.
