  1. Name, Image, & Likeness (NIL) at tOSU

That decision was part of the NBA collective bargaining agreement and had nothing to do with the NCAA. The NCAA does not set any rules on who can or cannot be drafted by professional sports leagues.
  2. SG Tanner Holden (transfer back to Wright St.)

I agree he needs to improve his defense and probably his perimeter shooting if he's to see 25 mpg. I think he's a Sueing clone who fits best at the 3 where there is a lot of competition. I'd guess he will be closer to 20 a game on average, more some nights, less others depending on matchups...
  3. CG Taison Chatman (Official Thread)

Would go into effect for the 2024 draft at the earliest.
  4. OSU Men's Basketball Recruiting/Projections/General Discussions

The B1G guarantees scholarships for 4 years across all sports. Bronny will only be in college 1 year as his dad wants to play with him in the NBA. A team will take Jr. to get Sr. I think Jr. has NBA potential, but would normally be a 2-3 year college to prove his skill set as he has PG size.
  5. OSU Men's Basketball Recruiting/Projections/General Discussions

Coaches and the university cannot be involved in paying players. They can make them aware of opportunities.
  6. OSU Men's Basketball Recruiting/Projections/General Discussions

Now I'm jealous. I just don't like Holden for the 2G. He made fewer threes than Kyle last year (twice as many minutes). He only takes them if left alone and I think we need a 2G with shooting skills given what we lost on that front. I think his game is nearly identical to Sueing. I think he...
  7. OSU Men's Basketball Recruiting/Projections/General Discussions

I think the point you were trying to make was fairly obvious. I don't think the example fit the intended point (comparing a SG to a SF shooting specialist). You may as well have asked whether I prefer Jordan or Kerr. Branham can shoot and drive and thats what you want out of a SG, with...
  8. OSU Men's Basketball Recruiting/Projections/General Discussions

The second half of the season, I felt much better about Branham taking threes than Ahrens. Not sure what you mean by which one I would rather have as they played different positions. Obviously Branham was the better player as he could drive and shoot. Ahrens was one dimensional.
  9. OSU Men's Basketball Recruiting/Projections/General Discussions

Holden is not a shooter, pretty much a 3. If Sueing returns, we really don't need a 3. We lost our top 5, three point shooters, so we need a SG that can shoot from range.
  10. C Zed "Finger Guns" Key (transfer to Dayton)

I'd be ecstatic with 12 and 8. His minutes will obviously rise considerably (assuming we don't pick up a big transfer), but his game is limited to back to the basket and doesn't pass all that well out of the post.
  11. OSU Men's Basketball Recruiting/Projections/General Discussions

I liked what I saw in Ali Ali when they played against us, but also saw him disappear completely in games. 6'8", good athlete and gets less than 3 boards a game in the MAC. Something tells me effort isn't consistent.
  12. Duke Blue Devils (that rat faced scumbag)

Williams was heavily involved with his replacement and I imagine like K, the administration welcomed his input. UNC supposedly looked at 5 candidates, all were former UNC players. There is only one reason Duke is being criticized [by a few] and not UNC.
  13. Duke Blue Devils (that rat faced scumbag)

Duke is free to hire whomever they want and follow whatever process they want to follow. The AD listened to K's advice.. Not sure why anyone would have a problem with the AD listening to the most successful college basketball coach of the last 40 years and wanting to continue the program with...
  14. Duke Blue Devils (that rat faced scumbag)

Amaker seems like a good guy, but from what I recall of his stint at UM, he was in over his head. Yeah, there were scandals surrounding the program, but he didn't make the NCAA tourney in 6 years there. Coaching in the Ivy league is about like coaching at the DII level. Talent lower and...
  15. 2021-2022 Ohio State Men's Basketball

Interesting idea and great that they all agreed to split the profits. Pushing the envelope a little on capitalizing off of OSU's name (123rd OSU basketball team in team colors). Obviously there is no trademark on the number so its use is fine, but stating that its representative of OSU's 123rd...
  16. PG Bruce Thornton (All-B1G)

Milton lost Friday to Paul VI by 1 in OT. Thornton had a solid game, but had some issues finishing near the basket. Scored all 7 of his teams points in OT to finish with something like 20 points. They beat Whitney Young fairly easily last night. Thornton scored 34.
  17. OSU Men's Basketball Recruiting/Projections/General Discussions

Yeah, its tough to evaluate on 1 game and sometimes we get a little too hyped by highlight videos. He's a good athlete, has a good shot and feel for the game. I think he's pretty fairly ranked in the 30-40 range. Not really someone we need with GWIII in the fold, but it does appear we are...
  18. PG Bruce Thornton (All-B1G)

Milton on TV tonight, ESPN+ at 1030.
  19. SF Brice Sensabaugh (Utah Jazz)

I am not sure I see much EJ in his game. EJ worked in the post and midrange in HS and is a high level athlete. Brice works outside in, using his 3pt shoot ability to get by defenders. I am still not sure whether he is more 3 or 4 in college, but regardless, the best comp I can think of is Ron...
  20. SF Brice Sensabaugh (Utah Jazz)

Brice is having quite the start to his HS season. Averaging over 28 ppg, 32/54 on threes (59%) with many of them from NBA range. Kids got offensive skills, needs to work on his weight and conditioning.
