I think the point you were trying to make was fairly obvious. I don't think the example fit the intended point (comparing a SG to a SF shooting specialist). You may as well have asked whether I prefer Jordan or Kerr. Branham can shoot and drive and thats what you want out of a SG, with emphasis on shooting as you need to be able to spread the floor.Never mind…it’ll be too exhausting to make my point after driving for 8 hours.
It’s because I read your post wrong. I thought you were saying you didn’t like Holden because he wasn’t a good enough 3 pt shooter. And then with your MJ/Kerr comment I thought you were making my point for me. But I re-read your comment. So my bad. That’s what I get for commenting while sitting on the beach with alcohol in my belly…I think the point you were trying to make was fairly obvious. A better example may have been who would you rather have at SG, Jaesean Tate, or Dwayne Washington? Effective scorers, entirely different skill sets. DW's skills are what you want out of a 2G, especially when you don't have many other shooters. We are losing our best perimeter shooters (top 5 statistically) and need to replace that.
Now I'm jealous. It’s because I read your post wrong. I thought you were saying you didn’t like Holden because he wasn’t a good enough 3 pt shooter. Agreed but it initially didn’t even look like OSU would get a visit so I’ll take it!Bucket getter. Can takeover and win games by himself.
Have a feeling he ends up in West Lafayette to fill Jaden Ivey’s role.
But hopefully Holt can find a way!
South Carolina transfer Jermaine Couisnard is starting to set up visits. Couisnard averaged 12 points and 3.2 assists this season.
“So far Maryland, Ohio State, UMass, Oregon, Houston, and DePaul have been showing heavy interest,” he said. I'll be taking a visit to Maryland and Ohio State soon but don't have the exact dates. They are coming up in a week or so.”
"Right now Maryland and Ohio State are the only ones I've set up. I will be taking one to Oregon as well but I don't have a date on that but I know i'll visit there. Gonzaga is also a possibility. I'm just seeing if the right players leave for me to have interest."
Ohio State: “Their message is similar to Marylands. They want me to be myself and play into the structure of getting me into ball screens where I'm more dominant. I also have a good relationship with the staff. It has been going well and I've been talking to them every day. We have been just going back and forth talking about basketball and things like that.
