Kansas State guard Nijel Pack, who earned All-Big 12 basketball honors, enters transfer portal

Kansas State guard Nijel Pack entered the transfer portal on Thursday, becoming arguably the best available basketball transfer this spring.

Pack, a 6-foot guard from Indianapolis, departs the program two weeks after the school replaced Bruce Weber with longtime Baylor assistant Jerome Tang.

Pack led the Wildcats in scoring, averaging 17.4 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.2 assists -- while shooting 43.6% from 3-point range. He had three outings with at least 30 points, including 35 points and eight 3-pointers in a narrow loss to Kansas in January. He led the Big 12 in 3-pointers per game and 3-point percentage, ranking in the top 15 nationally in both categories.

Bryant’s Peter Kiss, former Scarlet Knight, leads the country in scoring.

Tanner Holden gets a lot of FTs for Wright and converts at a high clip. 56 FTs Made in last 8 games (56/74, 75%).

College Basketball Transfer Portal Rankings, 2.0: New top tier headlines updated list

21. Tanner Holden, SG: From Wright State (89)

He might be a good pick up for Ohio State.

Better 3 point shooter, Ahrens or Branham? Which one would you rather have?

The second half of the season, I felt much better about Branham taking threes than Ahrens.

Not sure what you mean by which one I would rather have as they played different positions. Obviously Branham was the better player as he could drive and shoot. Ahrens was one dimensional.

Ahrens if he plays more than 2 minutes at a time. He would have gotten his groove back had he gotten more PT towards the end. Branham is better at just about everything else though
Ahrens got gunshy at the end of the season he pump faked so many open shots into being covered and a pass it drove me crazy. He needs to have no conscious like Diebler did and he'd eventually shoot his way out of it but if he refuses to take open shots it does us no good.

He also needs to learn a move other than pump fake, drive into the middle of the lane, pass up a wide open 8-footer, turn around and dump the ball back outside to someone that has a defender draped all over them.

Ohio State: "Chris Holtmann recruits me from there. I talk to him once a week. I have been to one game. I like how they play on defense and how the coaching staff interacts with their players. They also worry about the recovery aspect and how players are supposed to take care of their bodies."

Never mind…it’ll be too exhausting to make my point after driving for 8 hours.
