Current #4 class is still impressive even if it wont end up that way. Dudes got to grow together though and fast

The headline is a little deceiving, Ohio State is doing it with quantity. Their recruit's average rating is only 94.70 compared to some other top 10 classes like Duke (99.29) and Kentucky (99.69), etc.

It's not deceiving at all. This is how the recruiting rankings always work. And it's not like we have some crazy huge class.
The great thing about this class is that it can be foundational. Yeah, Duke and UK reel in higher rated guys every year, they're always replacing the ones they just got. Hopefully we get to see some of this 2022 class for 3-4 years at OSU. 4 T75 but not T20 kids is sort of the ideal for a non-blueblood program who can't just stack 5 stars on top of each other constantly.

That type of information would be very difficult to find out. I doubt if anyone outside of the program (coaches) even know that type of info. I am going to take this to another thread because I am interested in what positions you might think the Buckeyes are going to be recruiting. I think they should go hard at Parks(C) and a big wing (SF) or (PF). Not sure if they have three or four scholarships coming available.

"Obviously it's as talented of a class as we've had, and I think it can be a real building block here moving forward," Holtmann said on a Zoom call with members of the media. "I think we can continue to have classes like this. Maybe not always in numbers, because you're not always gonna bring in five freshmen, but there's no question we can continue to have classes of this caliber."

Holtmann inks five for top-ten rated class
“We are excited to officially welcome Roddy, Bruce, Bowen, Felix and Brice to our Basketball family,” said Holtmann. “Not only will this group have a big impact on the court, but the collective character of these five fit our program and the University community perfectly. The future is bright for this class and it will serve as a foundational piece for the coming years of our program.”
Holtmann on Gayle Jr.: “We want to officially welcome the Gayle family to Ohio State. Roddy fell in love with Ohio State after a visit to the Schottenstein Center against TTUN, and we have enjoyed getting to know him and his family since that day. Roddy is a gifted athlete with two-way potential that provides positional size and versatility on the perimeter. His heart for helping others though will be equally impactful in our community as it will be on the court! We’re looking forward to getting him to Columbus.”
Holtmann on Hardman: “We are excited to officially welcome Bowen and his family to The Ohio State University and our basketball family. His ability to shoot the ball and create space on the floor make him a perfect fit in our system. He has the potential to really grow as a player as his strength improves each year. I know he can’t wait to put on an Ohio State uniform and begin to achieve his dreams of being a Buckeye.”
