Syracuse Orange (official thread)

It's probably not against the rules bc if it was, Michigan would be doing it.
TBH I strongly believe that the CUNTS’ recent Joe Moore awards are directly attributable to PEDs

I do not think they are anywhere near alone on this particular score, which is why I haven’t mentioned it before. Their in-person scouting that included electronic recording (video) was something that was unique to the CUNTS in the entire history of the sport. It was an egregious, unprecedented level of cheating worthy of the death penalty IMO. OTOH, I’m not even sure it’s possible to win a Joe Moore award without PED use

Academic Progress Rate (APR)

Yeah - methomps - I haven't seen him on here in about 100 years.

Also:
[Penn State Fan]Here is further proof that APR is a bad metric.[/Penn State Fan]

Penn State ranked #15 in the Big Ten, at 959. (That's out of 18. They were #12 out of 14.)
We all know anything that doesn't have them in the top 3 in the Big Ten, or Top 8-10 in the country must be a flawed system.
Funny that. No mention of any of this over at Cult Central.

Whinging Vaginas & Mewling Quim

There is a portion of our fanbase that is absolutely, perpetually miserable. Unless every win is 56-0, there is something to bitch about. Without fail. It's exhausting.

Nevermind that this is the same defense that was a total calamity for much of the past two seasons and has improved exponentially across the board. If they ain't pitching shutouts and giving up 0.0 big plays, it needs to be harped on ad nauseam. Mind you, I'm not just talking about Hetuck...it's epidemic across social media from our spoiled ass fanbase.

It's no wonder we're largely considered the worst fanbase in CFB...fuck, I hate us.
I'm glad I saw this so I could upvote this post after liking it originally. We, unfortunately, have a toxic fanbase.

Memorial Day

I am a Vietnam era Veteran. That is not the same as a Vietnam Veteran. Not remotely.

The difference between Joe Rees and me.

That is what Memorial Day is all about.
Thanks. You say well what each of us who served in that time, without having served in that theatre, should remember every day.

High School Baseball

WATCH: High school center fielder sprints home to tag out runner in one of craziest baseball plays you'll see

Mark this down as the ol' '3B, 8U' on your scorecard

Normally when a center fielder makes a play at the plate, it involves nailing someone with a rocket of a throw. Well one Ohio high school center fielder used his legs, not his arm, to make a highlight-reel play on Friday.

In a varsity baseball game between Ft. Recovery and Marion Local, Mason Local center fielder Griffin Burns showed previously unseen levels of hustle on a baseball diamond. It all began when Ft. Recovery batter Caden Grisez hit a blooper into the outfield. The ball dropped between three Marion players, and Burns eventually scooped it up.

Normally, this would be a single. But, with the shortstop and second baseman both in shallow center field after unsuccessfully trying to catch the ball, nobody was covering second base, so Grisez kept running.

The bizarre play set off a chain reaction of uncovered bases (the third baseman went to cover second, leaving third base open; the catcher went to cover third base, leaving home plate open) and an eventual play at the plate that most baseball fans have almost certainly never seen before.

Burns kept the ball in his glove during the whole play, eventually sprinting home, laying out and tagging out Grisez at the plate. Take a look at the madness:

Draymond Green, With His Career On-Court Earnings Of $177 Million, Says The NBA Is Not Set Up For Players To Be Wealthy After They're Done

This is quite literally the dumbest thing I've ever heard in my entire life. And I'm genuinely shocked to hear it from Draymond Green. Say what you want about the guy, with how he's a hot head or how he takes cheap shots or how he whines too much, but I thought the general consensus was that he was pretty intelligent for an NBA player. But to hear him utter these words that the NBA / the system is NOT SET UP FOR US TO BE WEALTHY AFTER WE'RE DONE PLAYING???? I had to go all-caps on that one. Draymond you are making TWENTY FOUR FUCKING MILLION DOLLARS THIS YEAR to play basketball. You are on a 4-year, $100,000,000 deal. You have career earning, on the court alone, of $178 million that will turn to $255 million once your contract ends. Buddy, if you gave me literally $2 million right now, I would never ever work again. And you think the NBA, in which Jordan Poole is making $30 mil a year and Zach Levine is making $45 mil a year, isn't set up for you to be wealthy after your playing days end....? Michael fucking Jordan made less in his ENTIRE CAREER on the court than you'll make in 4 years, but you don't think it's a fair system?
